Four of us traveled to Salzburg and took 2 rooms at Hotel Wolf. I will let other people describe the hotel itself, here are a few practical tips based on our experience- a. It is about 15 min by bus from the main bus station. The closest bus stand is Mozartplatz (not Rudolfplatz). b. It is a 3 min walk...

There are two Wolf Hotels; this is the one in Old Town and it is perfect. It is located in a former home, yet has all the comforts and amenities of a modern hotel. (The elevator is tiny, but the grandchildren thought it was cool.) Others can give general descriptions; we want to talk about service. Alas, my wife fell...

The location is wonderful and within walking distance of the main attractions. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is outstanding. There is no air conditioning available in the winter so the window must be open to avoid a stifling room. We were fortunate to have a room in the back of the hotel with no noise from the outside....

We have been traveling to Salzburg for many years and have tired most of the accommodations near the historic city center. Understandably, most are not cheap, have relatively small rooms and are frequently full. The Hotel Wolf is steps away from the Mozartplatz and we had by far the largest room I've even seen in any of the surrounding properties....

We arrived early at the hotel in the off chance that we could leave our bags with them while we went to explore Salzburg. Luckily we were told our room was ready and we were free to use it straight away. We were in room 27, situated on the second floor facing the street. The first thing that struck us...

This is a nice hotel in a perfect location. The rooms are very clean and tidy with a nice breakfast served on the main floor. The hotel is located in the city center of Salzburg. I don't think you could fine a better location.

I stayed in places all over Austria and this was the worst. It felt like a dorm room. Nothing worked properly: not the TV, not the Internet. The room was hot, dark and depressing; it faced an alley and was noisy. There was no fan and no frills. Only one person spoke decent English, but someone was rarely at the...

I was very fortunate in my stay in Salzburg in that both hotels I stayed in were excellent. Hotel Wolf is in the Old Town near Mozart Platz. It is an old house which has successfully retained its character in being converted into a very pleasant hotel. Staff were pleasant and friendly. My bedroom had a groined ceiling and –...

For those who aren't too fussy and looking to be in the old town, this is a cosy boutique hotel right in the centre of the old town in Salzburg. We checked out of a very popular 5 star hotel chain and were looking for a not-so-expensive hotel in the old town when we found Wolf. Nice breakfast, good bathrooms,...

After our holiday in Slovenia we decided to visit the splendid city of Salzburg for two days on our way back home. We had a very nice reception from the staff member. As we were travelling with our almost 2-year old daughter, this receptionist said she would arrange a baby cot. I told her that was not nessecary, because we...
