Stayed two nights here last week. Due to the annual music festival and such, rooms in the old town center were in tight supply and pricier than usual when I booked Motel One South. Not to worry. My room was spacious and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the 24/7 lounge atmosphere in the lobby and the trendy design... More

Stayed here recently for 5 days and it was great! The bus number 3 and 8 stops right outside which takes you into the city centre and station and is really cheap to catch( buy a 24hour ticket). The hotel reception staff were friendly and helped when we needed directions etc! The room is basic but nice enough although a... More

The hotel is bright clean and comfy bed. The staff were excellent too. There is a bus stop right outside and it takes 10 min into town. The buses run until 12.30 - 1.00am too. Salzburg town centre and the castle is beautiful. But most places wind down early in the evening. So don't expect late night shopping /bars, although... More

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights during our visit to Salzburg last week. The hotel is around 5 km away from the city centre and the main tourist attractions, but due to the excellent public transport system we did not miss not being in the heart of the city. Bus no. 3 from the station dropped us... More

Stayed for 1 night and had a lovely welcome by the man behind reception, we had arrived on an early flight so the room wasn't ready so we were able to leave our bags and come back later for our room. Check in was simple and we were given a room on the 4th floor overlooking the River, the bed... More

Nice Motel at a accesible location. The rooms are spacious, though they don't have any balcony. We booked 4 rooms, got 2 rooms on 1 floor and 2 on another floor which was a bit of dissapointment. Overall neat, clean and hygienic. There is a safe basement parking facility at 7 Euros per night. Supermarkets, gas stations nearby.

The hotel is quite new, the rooms are not very large but essential. No frigo bar. Very efficient the reception. The parking is free in front of the hotel. Good for an overnight stay or for business travelers. Too far from downtown for a tourist. You have to move the car to reach the city center.

I stayed only one night in Salzburg while on a motorbike trip - so I wasn't looking for great luxury, but for a place easy to reach and comfortable. This Motel One fits both, while completely following the Motel One philosophy of simplicity. Nice big room, a little cold however, and very friendly staff.

The room was not big and it was only furnished with essentials, the hotel is almost close to the train station but it is a 20 minutes walk to the historic part of the city and shops and restaurants. The breakfast was good, almost every thing was organic and delicious.
