I have mixed feelings about this place. There are several high points, but also a few significant downsides. The high points: 1) Location. The Schlossberg Hotel is located right in the center of the city, and at the base of the Schlossberg mountain which offers, via a short funicular ride or a brisk uphill hike, a commanding view of the...

Stayed here for one night. Front desk staff were very kind, but on check-out could not establish that the room had been prepaid. This was presumably a computer issue, but it did result in a slight departure delay. Our room was OK. On the plus side, it was large with a separate room on entrance. Not so good was the...

I summed up most everything in the title. Notable for this hotel is the character. Converted from historic houses, it is chalked full of antiques and small touches that make it feel comfortable from the first step inside. The staff was warm, friendly and very helpful. The location is great and isn't as outside the city city center as the...

This was our second visit to this lovely hotel ideally placed for the shops, restaurants and sights that Graz has to offer. On our previous visit we stayed in the old part of the hotel in a room full of Austrian character. This time we opted for a large room in the modern part of the hotel. The large bed...

This hotel has an excellent, attentive and accommodating service. It is beautifully decorated with an interesting and diverse art collection. And it is also conveniently located to the city centre and all main attractions. It has been a pleasure staying here, and it will be the first place I would check in any future visit to Graz.

Old fashioned but stylish hotel. Great and efficient staff. Location convenient to many of the sights including the tram to top of mountain just a few steps away. Many interesting and artistic paintings hanging in the rooms and hallways. Definitely would stay here again another time!

We reserved a suite a the Schlossberg Hotel. The primary reason was because, based on the room descriptions, this seemed the best way to insure a view. We were given a suite in a building across the street from the main hotel. The suite, really a modern apartment, had no resemblance to the pictures on the web site. The view...

We are glad that we chose this hotel. I was a little torn beforehand between two other well-rated spots. The location is perfect and this hotel is truly unique. The best aspect is indeed its modern art. Every wall around every corner has something eye-catching. It is like staying in your own museum. The second best aspect is the staff;...
