We loved our stay here, such a lovely welcome and great place to stay. We were treated to the legendary pin ball room, wandered up the road for a great restaurant, had a super night's sleep, great breakfast and some good advice for our onward journey to Blaye and Bordeaux. The only downside is that we couldn't stay longer.

We stayed in silo 2 and absolutely loved it. Super friendly owners who gave lots of advice on brocantes, restaurants etc. The pinball hall was amazing, views outstanding and the place had a lovely relaxed feel to it. We lovedthe honesty bar! Some great local wines at really reasonable prices. Can't wait to go back!

We had a last minute change of plan and found this place via Trip Adviser at 4.30am. Luckily "The Appartement du Meunier" was available for three nights and we booked in, arriving later that day. What a find! The apartment had everything we needed and a fantastic view over the small harbour and the flat reed beds of the estuary....

Coen and Ariane are fantastic people and made huge investments in building a fantastic hidaway near the french coast. We stayed in a Silo appartment which is highly recommendable as you have a great view on the Gironde and coastal area. Make sure to take some time to listen to Coen's tips on where to go (and especially where to...

We stayed at Le Domaine du Meunier for 2 nights in the beginning of July. It was a last minute booking we made hoping to find somewhere nice to stay near the coast, and were happy we did. We drove in through the high town of Mortagne Sur Gironde to get to the house. The high town is located high...

What can I say....a wonderful experience from start to finish! After a night in a terrible hotel in Bordeaux the night before, this place certainly has the wow factor. Stayed with a friend in the Gite Du Marins - two lovely bedrooms and a stunning open-plan living/ kitchen area. Balcony opens out onto gardens at the front of the house....

We can highly recommend a visit and look forward to returning very soon. The main house is set in a beautiful location and is very stylishly furnished, whilst keeping its traditional features. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and all have excellent en-suite bathroom facilities. An enormous barn holds a fantastic collection of 60s and 70s pin ball machines which are...

You experience this place as much as stay in it! As others have said it is a one-off labour of love created by its owners, Coen & Ariane. Beautifully restored accommodation: we opted to self-cater and had a kitchen/ dining room as well as big bedroom and spacious bathroom. As we'd arrived quite late in the dark we had a...

This place is a scream. The owners have done a great job of creating a unique experience. I was there in early November and despite the size (large) of the room it was warm and comfortable, no mean feat with an old property like this one. The owners were also very friendly and welcoming, well worth staying at! I will...

Celebrating our wedding at Le Maison du Meunier was one of the best decisions we have ever made. This truly is a special place that added to our day in a way that we will never forget. Coen and Ariane think of everything! The rooms, location, generous breakfasts and local knowledge all go into making a visit here unique. It...
