We were very warmly welcomed when we arrived for Sunday lunch - even the hotel's dog seemed pleased to see us! The meal was very good, nicely presented, and was efficiently served by the pleasant staff. We ate in one of the two smaller dining rooms and after the meal we were able to go for a relaxing walk in...

Dear Winner2, Many thanks for taking the time to review us. We are very happy that you enjoyed your lunch. I am not sure if you realised, as it is not clear in your review, that the hotel was once the house of Sabine Baring-Gould and he did the majority of the work to make it look like it does...

We stayed for the fourth time 7th and 8th April. We were not disappointed. It has maintained its lovely relaxed atmosphere with a warm welcome as always from sue, james, Duncan (and of course Spencer the Jack Russell). We took our dog and stayed in Aurelia which was perfect because it had a little terrace leading outside , so easy...

we stayed 24/25th March 2017 & what a joy. Fabulous greeting from the owners, Super room (Lyndhurst) & all set in wonderful gardens. All the staff were helpful & charming & could not do enough for us. Then dinner!! We are blessed with very many restaurants in West London but the food here matched them. If i am anywhere near...

We went for the first time to a charity lunch. The menu was limited but thankfully there was something for everyone. The food was delicious and everyone cleaned their plates indicated how good the food was. The staff were very friendly and looked after us well. It is a beautiful place for a special meal. We shall go again. Thank...

This is a wonderfull place. Open fires, intimate feel. It doesn't seem like a commercial venture but rather as though you are staying with friends who happen to own a glorious Jacobean house and I mean that in a positive complimentary way. Photos don't do the glorious feel of the place justice. The food is lavish. Real fine dining with...

Dear Mr_H_10, Thank you very much for your fantastic review. The style of service we try to cultivate is exactly as you say, friendly but at the same time professional. With regards to the slightly tired exterior we are currently in a three year process of renovation and hopefully our new hand made front door will be installed in the...

I wouldn't normally frequent this type of hotel but an invitation to a special celebration was not to be missed. The Manor is beautifully situated in its own grounds which, no doubt, will be an added attraction during the spring/summer months. Our room was spacious and contained a very large double bed which we later found to be extremely comfortable....

Stayed here the 14th and 15th of February for our 20th wedding anniversary and it was heaven. The food was excellent for dinner and breakfast and all the staff were very good in all departments. The walks around the grounds and popping in to the local church and learning some local history was good as well. So a big thank...

My husband and I have stayed at Lewtrenchard Manor twice now. We go for Valentines weekend and we stay in the little gate house that is slightly detached from the main building. Needless to say it's not the cheapest place that you can stay, but it is so worth the visit. The staff and the owners are extremely friendly, the...
