We (parents and 2 teenage girls) stayed in Samsara for 3 nights for the long weekend in two rooms. Our daughter picked up Samsara. We are aware that this hotel is quite remotely located as hidden gem in Ubud, so we arrange for the airport pickup from hotel.

I would recommend airport pickup from hotel for the peace of mind.

The hotel just like in the pictures are beautiful. The room and its private pool are all well maintained.

The crew staffs in the hotel really put guests in their mind and during their service, started from the driver picked up, the front office who give a tour to the hotel facilities and every one we met are all smiling. When possible they will ask how can they please us.

Our first night we had dinner in the hotel. At first when we looked at the menu it’s not an extensive listing. We ordered the burger and pasta. The food is really good. The burger bun was soft and tender to our liking, the patty was juice, and the condiment sauces is a good surprise I cannot tell, but it’s really good.

For the breakfast we tried the nasi goreng. Also Croissants, muesli and egg benedict which are all is also superb.

We didn’t do much activities in the hotel as we really want to stay away from crowds. When we stepped out for breakfast, and returned our room had been made up. And later when we returned from dinner in Ubud the room was also made up for turndown service and they left nice notes. So thoughtful.

Our daughters trying the breakfast was on the boat which all those delicious food in more photogenic settings, again kudos to the staffs that can made that happened.

The infinity swimming pool is the jewel in the forest, every one will have a moment to enjoy it like a private one, and that moments are a lot. I always had that moment after the breakfast time.

During our stay the treadmill was under maintenance. I used the gym everyday, there are some basic equipments. I used the barbells, row machine, cable pulley system, big gym ball, and medicine balls. The first day I use in the morning I need to open the door wide open to let the air circulating the mist away. The second day, the air conditioning works well, and additional option of infused water to the existing bottles is available.

Samsara and the staffs really made us enjoy that getaway hideaway stay a beautiful memory that will lasts in many years.

Thank you for the beautiful memories.

Mr.Yana is very kind to help us solve the wifi problem. Everyone s so kind with sincere smile. Its a quite hotel for family taht don't want to be bothered. The food here is delicious. The personnel there are very patient and kind. Villa 9 has limited wifi signal so my husband could not play cellphone on the toilet which is perfect.

Loved this place so much, from the moment we came until the moment we left the property. Everyone in this Villa was kind and friendly. From the security guard in the first line, the receptionist, the restaurant staff, and all of the staffs we met. They welcomed us with welcome drinks, cold towels, and some cookies, it was a very nice touch. The room was big, with a very beautiful bath room. The water pressure was good enough and the hot water too. The amenities were so complete, tooth brush, razor, vanity kit, comb, etc. I almost forget to mention digital weight scale, nice touch. Body soap, shampoo, conditioner, were made exclusive for Samsara and they smelled sooo goood. We got daily tropical fruits. Each room had a private pool and heated so it was warm even when we wanted to swim late in the night. We could hear the sound of the waterfall near the main pool (which was heated too), so relaxing and serene. In the night, the pool looked bright blue, because it had blue lights in it. Breakfast was good too. It was a la carte breakfast. We could chose from the menu. I had lobster and egg and it tasted delicious. Extra cost IDR 100 K cause I traveled with 2 children. 1 child got a free breakfast and the other costed half of the breakfast cost. Their croissant tasted so good too.

We have seen many luxury hotels, but Samsara Ubud is something absolutely special!

You find yourself in a private pool villa with an exceptional view towards the jungle and absolute privacy. The villa and food hold very high standards. The personell is more than friendly - E.g. we received a handwritten letter with things to do and explanations about Balinese culture everyday.

We spend 5 days here over New Years. Obviously the place is rather quit, but this was exactly what we were looking for.

A la carte restaurant offers a great variety of foods; but be aware, prices are rather are the upper range (for us living in Switzerland still good value for money).

Ps: forgot to mention the breakfast; which is excellent..

If you look for ambient with complete tranquility, here is the gem that you will definitely cherish. The service level is impeccable during my 6 days stay, from breakfast to spa to room service/cleaning, staffs exceed all expectations. My only complaint is the rocky offroad path leading to the hotel which makes the ride very comfortable. I guess nothing is perfect....

Kudos to all the staff at Kelusa, totally customer centric with delicious offerings.

We will be back!

If you travel anywhere, you have to come to Samsara Ubud. We've only been here one day and not only has the service been incredible (thank you Nuh and Luhde!) but I don't think I've ever felt more at peace in my life. We arrived at 1:00 AM, and they already had welcome tea (the most delicious lemon ginger honey concoction I've ever had) and snacks for us, and brought us a light dinner in the room. When you order room service, it's there immediately (and is DELICIOUS), when they know you've left the room, they clean it immediately, and when you wake up in the morning, and look out into the beautiful jungle, you can't be anything less than incredibly grateful. Everything you need is right on site, but the team here will plan incredible experiences for you. Make your reservations ASAP, you won't regret it. I literally never write reviews but I'm taking time out of my trip to write this because they deserve it, and you deserve to find this place of pure beauty and bliss!

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights.

I am not going to write what others wrote. All the reviews are true I can personally vouch for them. So, rather than writing a generic review, I am going to talk about incidents or personal touches that me and my wife can never forget.

Day 1:
As we reached the lobby of the hotel the reception staff themselves came running to open our car doors and guide us to the seating area. Their check-in process is very informal casual and their biggest priority is to make you feel comfortable and make the experience as smooth as possible. They have the best snacks at the reception everytime we came from our day trip we would ask them to give us some, they were addictive. The person who escorted us to our explained everything so well and at the end he asked us do you have any questions and we were like which hotel staff does that.

Day 2:
We went for breakfast, we were greeted by name by every staff present. Overnight they knew our exact name and pronunciation. Something that you don't see everyday, also our serving staff came and informed us that he was taking break so his colleague will be serving us. They actually come and make conversation with you, asking about day your plans and do you have any special need.

Day 3:
My fiancee had pulled a calf muscle after our day trip and was in quite pain, knowing that they arranged for a complimentary foot reflexology and also, when you return from your day tour the staff wishes you "Welcome back home". Also, we were checking out next day early morning and every staff knew that and they kept on reminding us to let them know what we would want for breakfast next day morning at 5.30

Day 4:
Got a wakeup call at 5 am, breakfast exactly at 5.28 am and it was delicious. Buggy outside our door at 6 am and checke-out at 6.15 am as our pickup was at 6.30 and guess what, it did not come till 9.30 am. 3 hours in that lobby and the staff made it as comfortable as possible. Every 30 mins they came to have small conversation with us and check if we were doing ok, if we need anything. They gave us snacks and tea for no cost and also they gave snacks packed for our 4 hours trip to Gili T.

Following people made our stay as comfortable as possible: Ariana, Amel, Nik, Susi, Degus, Geni, Luh de, Putra, and Widi. A big shoutout to them and Gratitude.

Samsara has set the bar so high for me that I will really surprised any other hotel would be able to surpass it.

We spent a week at Samsara Ubud and had a great time. The staff was very welcoming and the location was very lush and quiet, although slightly far from ubud center (though closer to Tegalalang and Mt Batur). Since there were only 17 villas, it never felt crowded there and we had lots of privacy. We enjoyed our Balinese massages with Ayu and Desak. The spa surroundings were lovely and the tea served was also very tasty. The hotel staff was very responsive by WhatsApp, and we liked that they provided free shuttles to and from Ubud (though the timing was somewhat limited, but they did give our friends a free ride to have dinner with us).

Decor of the room was spacious and comfortable. My daughter enjoyed bathing in the tub and I liked the outdoor shower. We appreciated the generous daily breakfasts, but the dinner meals were more hit or miss. We did a bbq (with performance) one night and the performers were all great (cute kids) but some of us thought the portions were a bit small. The barramundi and chocolate mousse dishes were excellent but the chicken parm and the black rice dessert dishes were not that great.

I would encourage the hotel to increase some of their sustainability efforts. For example, there was a sign that they would not change towels if they were hung up, but I think the staff changed the towels and sheets daily anyway until I requested them to stop. Also, it might be better to provide larger glass bottles of water in the rooms and not use plastic to seal the tops (or at least use less plastic if you have larger bottles).

This place is absolutely amazing. If you are looking forward to lose yourself from the regular routine life and want to spend time with your family or loved once, then this is the right place for you. The view is amazing and make sure you try to book a pool villa for the stay.

The pool villa has warm water at nights so you don't have to worry about the water at night.

The food is great and people here are so welcoming, we had

De Gus from the lobby
who helped our stay here and was so kind enough to explain about the things that can be done here during our stay here.

The room has outdoor shower, bath tub and the room was spacious with the room looking into the forest with the villa pool inbetween ❤️

I don’t know where to begin with this review the villas were amazing, the staff were excellent, the food delicious and the spa was divine. The resort and the villas have ruined all other places since and I can’t wait to return.

As a solo traveller you sometimes end up paying double to experience things, but this was not the case. The hotel halved the price of the floating breakfast for me as it’s usually a couples experience - they did this without prompting! There was a free spa treatment with the villa but again it’s usually for a couple so the team gave me 2 treatments which were amazing and held in a room overlooking the
Rainforest. They even continued the free excursions for me when usually there’s a minimum 2-3 people for them to go ahead.

Everything about the hotel was relaxing and luxurious and I never felt out of place or a nuisance as a solo traveller.

Too many staff members deserve a shout out but the butlers, the chefs and the spa team were the real stars of the resort. Thank you everyone for a perfect holiday
