Room was ok however in need of repair. Bathroom dispenser broken off and missing, cardboard box on the floor to stop door from opening fully (quasi doorstop?). Room appeared unfinished. Bed comfortable, good views of the harbor area. Tea/coffee facilities, TV. No fridge. Paid $269A including breakfast. Plenty of parking onsite. Reception staff understaffed and grumpy. New staff in bar... More

Good place in perfect area for our site seeing visits, restaurant on site and a full bar. Hotel was busy and very quiet. We had ocean view and a perfect sunrise. Bed was firm and I slept perfectly. Bonus- full breakfast included with alot of choices and a variety of fresh fruit. At checkout we were offered information on places... More

Very corporate feeling in whole building. Whole hotel needs refreshment. Windows leaking when it's raining, we saw buckets to catch water from ceiling. Rooms were clean, restaurant is ok but no fireworks.

There are not too many hotels in this part of Iceland. This one is quite modern, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There was, admittedly, a slightly strange odour in the bedroom when we arrived, but I think it must have been the cleaning products that were used. The staff were all friendly, and efficient, and the food in... More

Stayed over in this hotel over the weekend when we were traveling around stykkisholmur and it was a lifesaver. Not only is it nice small And comfy the staff members were very friendly and accommodating! The town was a small fishing town that's nice and quaint. Would definitely choose staying in this place again if I were to ever get... More

Staffs were friendly. They are flexible about the time of breakfast and check out time. Room was quite spacious and clean. Comfortable stay and location very good as well! In the middle the little town. Surrounding a few good restaurant and hang out!

This basic hotel is actually very authentic for its location, with a very helpful staff. Breakfast could have been more robust, but it was all good in the end. Lovely views of the town as you enter and leave the property. Very close to a Bonus store and some restaurants. Beautiful view of unusual church right outside. I enjoyed the... More

Iceland is becoming a very popular vacation destination, and rightly so. However, it will need some time to improve the tourist infrastructure. This was certainly demonstrated by the Fosshotel Stykkisholmur. While the location was good for our purposes, the hotel was mediocre, at best. The staff was ok, but short-handed. The evening person was downright unfriendly. The room was uncomfortable,... More

The hotel seems to cater to tourist groups. The place is clean, comfortable beds but, wished that the rooms had brighter lighting. The outside was so stormy and raining and a few bright light Bulbs, would have been nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
