Stayed here as part of an organised tour. Simple but clean rooms. Excellant reception and would recommend dinner at the restaurant at the next door Icelandair hotel. Breakfast was excellent. We used the old reception area to have a couple of drinks with our own alcohol, which was a nice option.

Easy to find, as it is just off the Ring Road. Bedroom was basic but suitable for one night. Breakfast was great, a good selection and the waffles were definitely the highlight! I would recommend going to one of the restaurants in the town over the hotel one, as they were more reasonably priced (for Iceland anyway).

This hotel is what we expected in a small town. It was very simple and dated with nothing really giving it a positive edge. The staff were pleasant enough but were reluctant to answer queries and requests. The rooms themselves were simple and small, with cardboard cups offered instead of proper mugs for tea. We also didn't get a tea...

This hotel was last minute and as a result was fairly pricey. At the price point we paid (roughly $150), we could have stayed next door at the fancier IcelandAir Hotel. Overall hotel was average but fortunately we didn't stay there long (as we were exploring the nearby town). Basic amenities (small TV) but worked fine for a 1-night stay.

Stay here for 1 night during our Iceland road trip. The hotel reception was shared with icelandair hotel vik which was very pretty and the service staff were polite. The rooms at hotel Edda were basic and clean. Good enough for a 1 night stopover. Love the morning views of the lobby of hotel.

This hotel was clean and comfortable but the rooms are definitely basic. The room and bathroom were fine but it certainly wasn't the best room I stayed in during my time in Iceland. Hotel Edda shares a Reception with an adjoining Icelandair Hotel and they have clearly put a lotmore effort into the more upmarket hotel. Hotel Edda Vík is...

This hotel was perfectly fine for what you need it to be. A comfortable bed, in a central location at a decent price. You won't find anything "cheap" in Iceland (by NA standards) but this hotel was reasonably priced with all the amenities someone SHOULD want or expect. It is quite rustic and very cozy and I am not just...

The Hotel has a history of an earlier time in the Icelandic tourist industry -then basic accommodations in schools were a temporary measure to meet a surge in tourism. Now, it's not enough. The rooms were very small and efforts to add on resulted in a confusing set of directions. One could not park near the front door to unload...

I would have given this hotel an average rating of 3/5 if I hadn't seen random hairs in the bathroom (on the ground and stuck to the hand towel). Since my hair is black and the hairs on the ground/towel were light brown, I'm 100% sure it was not my own hair. I paid $130 CDN for the room and...

We stayed here in mid-October for 1 expensive night, in a cottage. Staff was friendly, and beds were comfortable, but it was very cold when we arrived at the cottage. There's only wifi in the main lobby, so that was pretty inconvenient. Bathroom was very cramped, and walls are very thin. I wouldn't stay here in the winter, it took...
