This is a place that felt like home. It was clean and had a traditional yet modern interior. We loved the breakfast that was based on local ingredients and the fresh baked rolls every morning. I'd prefer this over a hotel. Location is perfect for the activities and attractions around Vík. Seljalandsfoss, Seljavallalaug, Skogarfoss, Reynisfjara and Fjaðrárgljúfur can be reached...

Stayed in a top floor room that was comfortable, with two twin beds, TV, and sink to wash up. Our room shared a bathroom with just one other room, which was never an issue. Breakfast was delicious and included freshly baked bread. This B&B is in a great location for dyrholaey and about a 10 minute drive to Vik.

One of the best deals for the price in Iceland. Location, quality of accommodation, level of service is great. Breakfast is great but plan on having dinner elsewhere, it's not offered and the closet location about 20 min away.

What a gem! We were so lucky to find Guesthouse Gardakot. The property is situated close to all the best sights near Vik--the perfect choice if you plan to visit Dyrholaey and Reynisdrangar. The rooms are decorated with delightfully tranquil furnishings, and the view of the surrounding property is amazing. Our hostess, Julia, was exceptionally kind and welcoming to our...

You really could not go wrong staying at the Grand Guesthouse Gardakot. The rooms are beautiful; the food is excellent; and Eva is incredibly sweet. It was one of the nicest places we stayed in Iceland.

This place was made with love! Our hostess Eva was so welcoming and kind that we felt like home. Rooms and the whole house was beautiful and we loved their sheep in the yard. Breakfast was made by Eva and it was simply perfect. When we return to Iceland this will be the place to stay again. Thank you!

Julia greeted us with the warmest most welcoming smile and laughter. The wind pounded down on us, replicating the force of the waves being blown back from the shore line just feet away. Inside the white, clean, homey guest house was quiet and still. I felt the day (filled with torrential rain, waterfalls, and a three hour drive) wash off...

Super adorable guesthouse/B&B. Very small and cozy with a delicious breakfast. It's also just a few minutes away from the black sand beaches. The B&B is outside of Vik (ie the town center) quite a ways, so if you are lucky like us, you can see the northern lights from RIGHT outside the B&B with any light pollution. We really...

This is by far the best place we stayed during our holiday in Iceland. We were greeted by our host who was super nice and friendly, and the room that we stayed in was beautiful. It also helped that we had a friendly and diverse group staying with us in the guesthouse and they were cooking dinner when we arrived!...
