I’ve stayed here many times before and always had a great stay, location is 30 seconds from Bus stop 9 for tours and activities so ideal. Breakfast is served 7-10am. There is a bar but no restaurant, no mini fridge in room which would be nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful and never had a reason to complain about service or cleanliness of the hotel. So has always been excellent value, although I’ve noticed prices are not far off some 4* hotels in Reykjavík now which could be a problem. My only constructive feedbakc is that some of the rooms are looking dated, not in terms of design but marked/damaged rooms and equipment. Several rooms some lights by bed seem broken or lose. Lighting needs improving as rooms are too dark. Lack of storage for clothes or heavy winter coats. I have suggested before in other feedback institutions on how heating and towel rails work as rooms can be unbearably hot which impacts sleep. Sadly I had a room facing the road which is a little noisier. I have fed back previously that several TV channels do not work very well but I had the same issue on this trip so doesn’t look like feedback was acted upon. Also rooms could have a mini fridge so you can stores your own food/drinks. I was disappointed with breakfast this time as there used to be a much larger selection including sausages, bacon and items for an American/British breakfast. Even the meats and cheeses were more varied previously, so for me this was disappointing, breakfast is a big part of your stay and I may not book again if breakfast remains the same as I miss those items.…

Simple, clean, comfy, quiet. Very centrally located. And excursion bus stop just around the corner. Easy walk to city centre and harbour area. Lots of restaurants nearby. Slept like a baby. Breakfast is fresh and has a great selection. Staff are very friendly.

Excellent hotel, perfect location - very central. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast options were very good and delicious but limited - it just missed the sausage/bacon cob option. The rooms were roomy, very clean however even with the radiator turned off and the window wide open they were super hot! Otherwise great stay, great staff, great location.

Comfy, clean and cosy room, delicious breakfast and generally an amazing experience especially for a city centre hotel. The location is in the city centre within walking distance of city attractions. We had a few issues with our travel agent who booked wrong times for airport returns and excursions that were closed. However huge shout out to Maja and Momiha who were so welcoming and helped us out with every enquiry we had. From tax returns, city museum recommendations and even booked us on better excursions that were not avaliable through our travel agent. You both are holiday savers and from my girlfriend and I we say our thanks! We will be booking again next year as we both loved the experience and culture. Hope to see maja and Momiha agin next year. 5* service

On arrival we found the Hotel and was amazed. We hit the pillow and woke up the next morning . The breakfast was amazing a great selection and constantly refreshed . Only gripe for me is as its included in your stay , you should not need to pay if you have to get out to a trip . Convenient location to all shops and food halls . Can be a little expensive if you don't look around for the lunch deals . I can't wait to return and my Hotel will be the Skuggi. Love everything about it.

Convenient location, parking garage and clean and comfortable room made our two night stay in Reykjavik perfect. Walkable to top restaurants and shopping. Delicious full breakfast buffet. Hotel was a great way to end our week in Iceland.

Clean, friendly, a lot to choose from for breakfast, modern interior, quite good noise isolation. Nice extra's like the book and a quote in every hotel room > artsy touch. Taxi/ tour services, panorama roof, free possibility to storage your luggage after check out, great location, ... The only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is that you must give your credit card nr. even if you payed everything in advance. I'm not used to this and it's an unnecessary barrier upon arrival in my eyes. My debet card wasn't accepted but luckily we still managed to find a solution. I'll come back with visa next time haha.

Great hotel, with great service and lovely breakfast. Only issue was no draws in room, very few places to hang clothes/wet coats and toilet paper thin, but other than that wonderful place to stay and would happily return.
