A friend and I rented a room for about a week, and arrived in Reykjavik just after midnight. Not sure why previews of this place shows a front desk, because none really exists. We called a phone number posted on the front door, and a man came a few minutes later to let us in and hand us our keys....

Stayed there twice on our trip. The first time, in a room in the central building, was alright. Rightly priced for what you get. Next time, we were sent to an old house up the street where they also have rooms. First impression was ok, but there were annoying little things... no sound proofing what so ever, and large gaps...

If you have booked a long stay (I stayed five days), you will be put into another building in the next street along. It's basically a small room in a house with a shared kitchen. This review is for the guesthouse, not the apartment building. The house is absolutely fine if you know what to expect. When you get to...

This was a nice surprise. Easy to find near the Hlemmur square and bus - station. Clean rooms and good beds. And helpful staff always at your service at breakfast. You can safely drink the tap-water, even if it has a smell of sulfuric, (which is all over Iceland). Easy to find car-park outside the entrance if you need. The...

I paid £43 for 3 nights in a room with 2 other people - so for the price i can't complain, however if you want more than basically a hostel you don't want to stay here. the showers smell like sulphur... and a bit of mould.... but it was warm and we felt very secure.

Lets be clear, this is a BUDGET hotel. I knew this going in and had low expectations. But honestly, its absolutely fine, especially when you consider the price you are paying. Its a great location, just a few streets back from Laugavegur the main street for shops and restaurants. and an equally short walk from the Shoreline foot path. Iceland...

It is is cheap which was great for me and my partner since we travel with a tight budget. Yes you need to phone to get in but after that you have the key to go and come as you wish! Booked for two nights, double room with private bathroom. Room was very clean , shower excellent and beds comftorable....

As you may have gathered from other reviews, the first thing that hits you is finding out you need to phone the guy to let you in. Luckily my phone has relatively cheap roaming charges and i had no problem. I stayed in the main building, in a private room without breakfast and with shared facilities. There is no elevator...

Unclean - rubbish in room, holes in sheets Lack of Customer Service - had to wait 20mins before someone came to let us in. If you don't have your own mobile then there is no way of getting in to the place. Lack of facilities - 1 toilet for a whole floor Broken Shower - Temperature tap didn't work AT...

Not the most inviting facade, in what appears to be an old office block. However the facilities, even though basic, were adequate. A good nights sleep with a decent breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, although there doesn't seem to be a person on site for chunks of the day. As long as you dont expect luxury, this will suffice...
