We booked 3 nights at one of the other CenterHotels. When we showed up they were sold out (the couple checking in infront of had the same issue), so after a lengthy delay and a walk through town, we were finally moved to CenterHotel Thingholt. Which turned out to be just fine. The location is perfect. Right in the center...

Location is close to pretty much everything you want to do and see in Reykjavik, but parking is very difficult if you have your own car. You are expected to park on the street and "feed the meter" between 9:00 and 18:00. Also, be aware that there is no clock in the room, no alarm, no ice bucket, and no...

From the outside, you could be deceived to what it is like inside. Once inside, it's a different story. It's really nice. Very clean and nicely furnished. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was superb. We didn't eat there at night, but I heard it was very good. The staff there were extremely pleasant and helpful....

Stayed for 2 nights in 2 rooms with our children. Rooms fine, not amazing, had the cheapest room, still expensive! Breakfast very good, eat lots and my children enjoyed cooking their own waffles. Very centrally located, would stay there again.

The location is ideal, within walking distance of almost all the tourist sites around Reykjavik; the city is compact so a car is not needed unless you want to explore further afield on your own. The rooms are modern and bright and the beds very comfortable. There is definitely noise from the adjacent nightclub and its rowdy patrons who hang...

A rather cool, unfussy, modern hotel, ideally situated in the centre of Reykjavik. Our visit went well from the start; we arrived after dinner service had ended at its Isafold Restaurant but the staff smilingly offered to make us a scratch meal ("we've got a dessert left over from the tasting menu; would you like to share it"?). Our room...

Stayed here during a return visit to Reykjavic. (My initial review from 2011 is here: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g189970-d619115-r77465469-CenterHotel_Thingholt-Reykjavik_Capital_Region.html#REVIEWS) Still very well maintained hotel with a lobby that has been expanded and is still swank. Breakfast is on the better side in comparison to other Icelandic hotels. The rooms were clean, nicely appointed, if a little small. Bathrooms have sliding frosted glass doors...

this was our first nights stay in Iceland so we were very pleased with what we found. (Eventually as this good boutique hotel is behind an anonymous front door) The staff were very pleasant and the room was of a good standard and clean. Breakfast was adequate and good compared to some buffet breakfasts we've had since starting our tour....
