The short summary: We would stay there again. The positives: great central location -- easy walking to restaurants, museums, shopping, sights, ample breakfast with considerable choice and very good baked goods (something we found true in general in Iceland), very helpful front desk staff, nice view towards the harbor because we were at the end of the corridor on the...

This was the second time at this ideally located hotel in Reykjavik. Our room had a beautiful view from the 8th floor. Bathroom was spotlessly clean and spacious, as well as the room itself. A minibar, bathrobes and slippers were a bonus. There was no AC thou which was a bit of an issue as it happened to be unusually...

The hotel is next to the information centre on one side, and a small but well stocked supermarket on the other, and both were very useful. The hotel room had only one window, which was closed when we arrived because the mechanism to keep the window open in various positions had corroded. We left the window open using a newspaper...

We stayed here recently and were happy enough with it as a base to explore Reykjavik. The rooms weren't large but were certainly adequate. They are no shortage of good restaurants in the vicinity so you can eat somewhere different every night. The service in the hotel was good. The breakfast room can be crowded at times so bear in...

The hotel is better than I expected (it was included in a package, didn't book it myself). It's clean, breakfast is fine (they have porridge!) and friendly staff. And the location is fantastic! The downside is the noise from the party going on in the night. Ask for a room on the backside if you're easily disturbed. The rooms towards...

This hotel was chosen as part of the tour - but it was great, right in the centre the staff were lovely and with it being January the room was warm. Only issue my boyfriend is quite tall and it was a slanted roof but that wasn't a big deal

Great location, but poor service. We arrived at this hotel amid a mass tour group checking in. Unfortunately the service we received from the front desk staff was poor. They provided us a room, gave us the key and off we went. The problem was we couldn't find the room. We returned to reception and were sent up another elevator...
