I stayed here for two nights during my visit to Reykjavik! The hotel is on the main shopping street which is perfect if you plan on spending the day roaming the city. We arrived from the USA at 5:00am and the hotel was able to store our bags before our room was available, they even offered us a early check...

We had the luck we stayed in the back building of the hotel which isnt located on the main street and pretty quiet. We spend our visit to Iceland here from Wednesday to Sunday and it occurred to us that that the frontside of the hotel may be quiet throughout the week, but is very loud in the weekend. We...

I stayed at the Hotel Fron before and after a week-long tour in the same room both times. Unlike some others have posted, I found the front desk staff to be both friendly and accommodating -- suppose it depends on your personal affect and attitude. Yes, both the rooms and breakfast are very basic, but mine was updated and clean....

We arrived at 630-7 am and was expecting a wait to check in. There were two others checking in before us. The fellow was very nice and managed to check us in right away and even gave us an upgrade! It was much appreciated because I did not realize how tired I was and passed out. I'm happy that I...

Great location for shopping, eating, and partying in downtown Reykjavik-- though about a 10 minute walk east of the museum district. Great deal at just over $100 USD, but there are better options if you're spending more than that. Rooms are fine, decently sized, but very dated, and there are some signs of less than perfect maintenance in the room.

Stayed here for three nights last weekend with a friend. On check in the woman at reception (with the short hair) was rude and had a terrible attitude. Felt as though we were ruining her day by checking in. When we got into the room it stunk (of the sulphur) although we thought it smelt extra worse! Bathroom was filthy-so...

I loved my stay at the Hotel Fron and too be honest I wouldn't have picked anywhere else. It's located in one of the best street and districts in Reykjavik (Laugavegur, 101). Everything is in walking distance. There are bars, cafes, restaurants, quirky little gift shops and book stores and tourist information centre right on the doorstep. The vibe reminds...

The Hotel Fron is in the centre of Reykjavik, it's a lovely hotel with everything you need. Breakfast was ample, plenty of bread, juices, meats, cheeses, fruits and cereal/yoghurt. All of the staff are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are clean and are cleaned daily. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and supermarkets. If I go back to Iceland...

Located on the main shopping street with restaurants, coffee houses, bookshop, gift shop, clothing, beaty salon and pubs next door, across the street or a block away the location is ideal for someone like me who prefers walking in small cities like this. Every major tourist site is also in walking distance or you can take a bus.. however.. it's...
