Brattagata guesthouse is located in a quite street less than 2 minutes from the town's center. The result is that you pay less for a perfect location. Room and breakfast were very nice and hospitality very warm and accommodating.

We stayed at Brattagata for 3 nights in October. The guesthouse is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of pretty much everything you want to see in Reykjavik. The rooms are clean and the beds were super comfortable. The breakfast is especially good with lots of variety, and the shared kitchen enabled us to save some money by buying... More

Our family trip of 3 women (elderly mother and two adult daughters) was for a 4-night stay. Only lodging remaining for our dates was a shared triple room in the upstairs apartment, which has another bedroom in it as well as shared living room, kitchen and bathroom. We were apprehensive but went ahead and booked. Excellent decision. Lovely host, Ingunn.... More

We stayed here one night, drove the Ring Road, and returned to stay three more nights. The operator Ingunn was great! The rooms were clean, breakfast was nice, and the location was perfect. I would definitely give this a high recommendation for anyone wishing to stay in Reykjavik.

Stayed 4 nights with a crew of cousins. 5 people in the apartment. It was perfect. Beds you just sink into, a great kitchen, lovely sitting room, everything you could need for the stay. It's so pretty that walking tours stop and take photos of it. We were at the heart of the city but a lovely quiet location. Ingunn... More

We stayed for 5 nights and have to say this beautiful little guesthouse was a big part of a amazing trip in Iceland. We went for my 30th birthday and my husband contacted Ingunn beforehand without my knowledge and on our first morning Ingunn bought out a beautiful cake that my husband had arranged for her to get from a... Despite only a brief stay, our family of four (3 adults, 1 child) had a fantastic stay at this perfectly located city centre guest-house. The room was just what we needed - spacious, clean, comfortable, warm, quiet. We had some travel problems and delays with tours, however our host were courteous and very accommodating with our times. We can't thank... More

Enjoyed a 3 night (4 day) sojourn at the comfortable and cozy Brattagata Guest House in center city Reykjavik. Our room (#5) was large, clean, and nicely furnished with a fluffy bed and a comfy sofa---perfect for a respite after traveling through Europe for a month. There was an attached kitchenette/bathroom/shower. It was an easy, short walk to the downtown... More

10 out of 10 for not only the best guesthouse in Reykjavik but possibly where I've ever stayed traveling the globe. Made a last minute reservation, traveling with my friend, for a twin room.
