My girlfriend and I stayed at the OK Hotel last weekend and both thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hotel is not a five star luxury hotel, in fact it's not really a hotel at all, but what it was, was perfect for our weekend break. Let's be honest, a hotel for a city break is somewhere to crash before/after you...

I gave it the rating I did for functionality, location and value. As mentioned by others, the check in was unusual as you got buzzed in and had to use the phone on the bar to contact reception who gives you the combo to the safe to get your room keys. The procedure worked and my family used the elevator...

OK Hotel benefits from a perfect location to explore Reykjavik, with many bars, restaurants, shops and tourist spots only a few minutes walk away. Other reviewers have noted the strange check-in process and lack of reception (all of which were made clear on booking) but these were not an issue for us as even though we arrived at 11pm we...

First off this was one of the strangest check in experiences I have ever had! You had to ring for reception at the bar that is currently being redone downstairs. No one answered but luckily enough another guest let me in. You then had to use a phone to call up to reception. I called three times before some answered,...

This hotel was a bargain and you get what you pay for. I would stay here again and it us reminder of why I pay more for hotel rooms. Here are my comments to add to all the others: 1. Like other people have mentioned the checking in process is a bit awkward. On the plus side, the phone is...

It was everything I expected and read from TripAdvisor reviews so no surprises. Just disappointed the Kbar was under renovations. Plus the taxi driver couldn't find it on his GPS. I liked having a balcony and the bed was very comfortable. WiFi worked contrary from what I heard from other reviewers. Will def book there again .... most of all...

Great hotel and location. Couldn't ask for more. ( April 2015 ) Location, room, everything was fantastic . Restaurant downstairs was amazing. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

If you are looking for a different experience in lodging, then the OK Hotel is the place to check out. The hotel is part of a restaurant and apartment. The rooms are concise, clean and very accomodating . You check-in through a phone at the front desk surrounded by funky suitcases and steam-punk like lights. The keys are locked away...

We stayed on the second floor (first floor not recommended) with a window that opened up on the main shopping street. Two nights was nice. Not as loud as some have written. "Third bed" was just a small piece of foam off of a couch. Good for my teenager, but not fit for anyone who is used to comfort or...

The apartment was booked and got cancelled and offered for booking again before we even got the chance to check-in. All of this without a warning... The guy (reception on the phone!) Only offered to get two other apartments double the price and on other locations... Total rip-off!
