Visiting Iceland is a pretty amazing experience in itself, but when you have a wonderful place to start and end the day like OK Hotel, it really makes it perfect. I loved the location, the quirky retro decor and the view onto the street (with mountains in the distance). There is no front desk, you call a umber and get...

We stayed for two nights in November. The location is right in the heart of the downtown area, so it is ideal for walking to shops, restaurants, and bars. The entrance is through a restaurant that is currently closed and under construction. You call from a phone to reach someone; there is no receptionist or lobby area. Our room was...

Besides for the location, there is not much positive to say about this hotel. When we first arrived, there was dirt in the shower. The TV in the room did not work, neither did the iPhone-dockingstation. And the bathroom light did not work. Upon booking the hotel it said it would be possible to buy breakfast down stairs, which was...

We visited OK hotel last week for 4 nights 2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 6. Check in was as described in the booking paperwork. We were buzzed through the door and used the telephone on the desk to be given the safe combination for our room key. We were on the 3rd (top) floor in room 11....

If you want to be right downtown with space of your own and some quiet at night OK Hotel is great. We stayed in shoulder season (early April 2014) and were very happy with the size, decor, and amenities of the room. Tried to stay on our last trip (October 2016) but it did not work out with our travel...

This is one of the best budget hotels for the location in Iceland. Located on the main strip with a great little restaurant and bar underneath. Stayed here both times in the city and found it really friendly. Fantastic for families of four on a budget to iceland. Self catering with bonus supermarket across the road.

I liked this hotel - it reminded me of a Citizen M! Check-in was exactly as described when we booked our stay - there really was no reason to be apprehensive. We were in our room within 5 minutes. Neither of us minded that the bar was being renovated and that the entrance was by buzzer. Location is ideal for...

My girlfriend and I stayed at the OK Hotel last weekend and both thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The hotel is not a five star luxury hotel, in fact it's not really a hotel at all, but what it was, was perfect for our weekend break. Let's be honest, a hotel for a city break is somewhere to crash before/after you...

I gave it the rating I did for functionality, location and value. As mentioned by others, the check in was unusual as you got buzzed in and had to use the phone on the bar to contact reception who gives you the combo to the safe to get your room keys. The procedure worked and my family used the elevator...

OK Hotel benefits from a perfect location to explore Reykjavik, with many bars, restaurants, shops and tourist spots only a few minutes walk away. Other reviewers have noted the strange check-in process and lack of reception (all of which were made clear on booking) but these were not an issue for us as even though we arrived at 11pm we...
