My husband planned a long wkend in Reykjavik to celebrate my birthday and booked the 3 nights at the 101 Hotel. it is a charming, small boutique hotel... we were lucky to get a 5th floor room, overlooking the concert hall. Turn right as you exit the hotel, walk to the corner and you'll find yourself in the middle of...

101 Hotel was the perfect base for 5 nights in Reykjavik to attend a work event. The majority of our group stayed at the conference venue at the Hilton Nordica which I hear was reassuringly functional and plain. Those of us at the 101 were in for a treat! First of all, no hotel can be genuinely excellent unless the...

It was ok, first night here so good for first night but I understAnd the Blue Lagoon are developing a hotel and that's where I would stay if offered a choice. Rooms are small but well appointed. Perfect location, stunning interiors, spacious junior suite, modern design and aesthetic, hip and cool while still being sophisticated and conservative. The furniture and fixtures are all classic, while accenting the public spaces and rooms with very edgy, original art done by local artists. It was spot on. The reception's Omar was delightful and helpful, the bar was modern, spacious, but...

Very chic designer boutique hotel. Service was excellent only lacking in a baggage porter. Did not dine here other than a quick breakfast but I've heard the restaurant is excellent. We had no view from our room but did not matter. The room was very chic but would prefer the sink area to have a door for a little privacy....

Certainly the best hotel in Reykjavík although without a huge choice dont expect a big 5 star hotel with all the trimmings. Its within walking distance of the town centre, the 101 has a super cool style. Small by stylish rooms, there's no real bar but restaurant is cool and a nice private bar room downstairs for events too.
