Enjoyed our 2 stays in this friendly hotel. (A few years ago now). Staff are helpful, and the location is really good. Free Wi-Fi in reception area. We could walk to docks and town shops easily. Supermarket at back of Hotel. Some 'must try's' are the Pearl revolving restaurant, and the Blue Lagoon. No northern lights display when we were...

We stayed one night and found our studio room spacious and comfortable. Our curtains did an adequate job blocking out the light and we slept well. The breakfast was yummy with waffles, bread, fruit, eggs, sausage, 4 kinds of herring, cold cuts, yogurt and other items. Location was fine, close enough to restaurants and other destinations. Staff was friendly and...

Nice and clean hotel located close to The Harpa and in a walking distance from the harbour. The breakfast was very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The stay in Fosshótel Baron was pleasant and it suited us well. This hotel is a good budged.

Good location and decent service, but hotel needs some updating. It is within easy walking distance of most of what you might want to see. The breakfast is typical of Iceland, which is to say, hearty.

The staff was very friendly. We started and ended our tour here. The 1st room was small and there were no blackout curtains. Iceland in the summer needs blackout curtains. This did not make for good sleep. The 2nd room also did not have blackout curtains (nor did the hotel seem to believe in the need for them). The rooms...

I was very impressed with the hotel and the facilities, the staff went out of their way to ensure you had everything you needed and didn't mind going that extra mile. The food provided by the hotel was a buffet breakfast, consisting on waffles, fruit, cereal and hot options. The room was spacious with some kitchen facilities, a large table...

The room was very comfortable, and clean. Shower was terrific. We paid for an upgrade, so we had an ocean view. There is a big building between Baron and the ocean, so that building obstructed the view, but we did not mind, we could still see out on the water and the beautiful mountains hued in blue. The staff at...

We picked this hotel for its location, which was fine. However, the room we got was extremely small and felt crowded with two single beds and a desk glued in between. The room wasn't cleaned regularly and sometimes only one of our beds was made. Kinda strange... but since we spent most of our time outside, we didn't make a...

We chose this hotel for its location and reasonably positive reviews. However, we were disappointed with, and realised we should have chosen better for several reasons. On arrival, we were told we had been allocated an " historical room" and having seen the flattering photos, thought our request for a higher floor room could be abandoned. The room was on...

Sure it's not down town but very close to the shopping street of Laugavegur. Reasonable sized rooms considering how much we paid (not much!) we were able to spend more on some great Icelandic restaurants ;)
