We stayed here for two nights in September. We stayed in a Heritage room and in one of the renovated rooms. The heritage room was really cute and the decor was french colonial style. The renovated room was standard pretty standard and a decent size. The morning buffet was delicious however very crowded due to tour bus departures. I would...

We stayed at the Fosshotel Baron for two nights prior to returning to the U.S. It has a great location only a couple of blocks from downtown and within walking distance of museums, attractions, etc. Breakfast was great with a good variety. The room we had was larger than some. However, the carpet was disgustingly dirty. The shower was about...

We have stayed there twice and both times we have had the most romantic rooms. Mostly its quiet there but on big events in down town Reykjavik you can hear some loudness in the night. The service is good and the breakfast buffet is very good.

I'm a bit surprised to see some of the negative reviews about this hotel. I stayed here for 3 nights with my mum in 2011, we had a ground floor apartment type room and it was spacious and comfortable, warm and clean. I booked it via the icelandair website as part of a package and only selected 'double room' with...

The hotel is located near the main restaurants and shops on Laugavegur street. We stayed twice at the hotel and the second time we had an upgrade which left us in a room overlooking the sea. The breakfast was very good and Wi-Fi worked well. On the last day we need to leave the bedroom and stay at the hotel...

We were generally happy with our two night stay at Fosshotel Baron. It is a VERY basic hotel, especially by US standards, and we actually paid about the same as staying at a more luxurious hotel in Copenhagen -- but that seems to be the going rate in Reykjavik. The rooms are quite simple, but are clean (except for the...

The hotel is located in close proximity to the many restaurants and shops on Laugavegur. We had a two room suite with a comfortable queen in one room and a sofa bed in the other. The living room also had a small kitchenette complete with sink, frig and dishes/utensils. Unlike other showers we encountered in Iceland, the shower was actually...

We were there at the end of our three weeks trip through Iceland. It was just disappointing. The room was very small and old furniture, just one small closet. The windows very very small and extremly dirty. The lightings for the room did not give any comfortable light in the room. The bath room was with open shower-the whole bath...

The hotel is located directly at the ocean. I booked an ocean view room in the 5th floor, which was totally worth it. I arrived at around 20:30 so I didn't want to go eat outside, so I went to de Dominos Pizza restaurant which is located comfortably 200m from the hotel. All in all a very great place to...
