My husband & I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of November. We stayed in a standard room on the 3rd floor overlooking an apartment block. It was very quiet despite being in the city centre & we were never woken by any noise. The room was very basic & ready for updating, but it was clean &...

Stayed at Fossbaron Hotel, very handy for shopping, museums etc. Only a 3* so the rooms were small and with very little storage space. A table with one drawer, small wardrobe and space for 2 suitcases. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom small and small shower with stained tray, but otherwise clean. Hotel staff receptionist staff were good, with the evening staff,...

Average quality but great location. It was walking distance to the main shopping and eating street. Decent breakfast buffet. Staff could have been a bit friendlier but rooms were not bad. Had to get used to the geothermal water. I wanted them to fix my bedside light. Someone came to check but it was never fixed. So customer service needs...

We felt lucky to have stayed in this hotel due to the location, we had a mountain and sea view out front as well as being so close to downtown Reykjavik. Clean and comfortable rooms, with amenities and wifi, would stay again.

Friendly staff, great and plentiful breakfast. Rooms a bit tired but warm and clean with nice hot powerful shower. Close to restaurants and shops. The theatre is close too. Great location but could do with a little upgrade

We stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were assigned a room with a great view overlooking the ocean. The staff at the reception were extremely knowledgeable & gave us some good tips for our Golden circle tours etc. They had some great recommendations on the local restaurants & things to do & see in Reykjavik...

Stayed two separate nights - one each at start and end of my trip. The first night was in a beautiful room on second floor. Sloping ceiling, tastefully decorated, carpeted, TV, etc. Very comfortable. When I returned I was given a room on the first floor. This appeared to be normally used as a family type room I think as...

Stayed here Oct for 4 nights, room spacious warm and comfortable. Fridge, Tea and coffee in room. Bathroom good and clean, plenty of hot water. There is a sulphur smell with hot water but you get used to itt. Could do with some more storage for clothes in the room. Breakfast was very good, the waffle maker was very popular,...

Following very disappointing Foss Hekla experience, we gave Foss (based on Foss Eastfjords) another chance. Hmm, nod bad, nod excellent......... Very friendly staff, good beds, again too little space in the bathroom for amenities; guess for true comfort in a Reykjavik Hotel, one has to go high end pricing, i.e. 200 euro+ Comfortable was the possibility of free parking, even...
