The hotel is fairly basic, but this is common of most places in Iceland. Rooms and very clean and tidy, breakfast is brilliant with lots of choice on a buffet basis. Great location too, only a 2 minute walk into the Main Street. Local convenience shop just behind it which is helpful. Staff are helpful, would stay again.

Central location and helpful reception staff. Our room was the opposite of that on the website and definitely due for renovation. It was clean and the beds were comfortable but the lighting was awful and we struggled for a hot shower. Breakfast was excellent and mostly plentiful, but the doors shut on time! As everything in Iceland is expensive, a...

This has got to be one of the worst I've stayed at in recent times. This hotel was booked by our travel agent as we were joining a tour of Iceland. We checked out the photos of the hotel and it did not look too bad. The photo showed the front facade and the restaurant which had been renovated. But...

The Foss Hotel Baron is great value for money, the room was basic but clean and we were rarely in the room as we had a packed itinerary for the trip. They appeared to be renovating it while we were there. Staff at reception were helpful and friendly. All the major attractions of Reykjavik were nearby including Sun voyager, Harpa...

Overall the hotel is good for the price. It's within walking distance to Hallgrimskirkja (the church) and Laugavegur (where all the shops are). The hotel staff that I spoke to were friendly and helpful. There is a lot of variety for the breakfast, which I found to be very good. The only things that I noticed that could be improved...

Fosshotel Baron definitely needs an overhaul and from my understanding it is slowly renovating many of its rooms. We stayed here twice on our weeklong trip - at the beginning and at the end. Honestly, our first room left a lot to be desired. The carpet was stained, the beds were old, the bathroom was ok and there were hardly...

We booked our first night in Iceland for one night here to be close to attractions. We requested an ocean view and the Sun Voyager Sculpture and Yoko Ono Imagine Peace Tower were visible from our room. For 4 adults we booked two rooms with two twin beds in each. Room included a great free breakfast (our first in Iceland)...

This property is in a great location in Reykjavik; within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. There's free parking directly in front of the hotel. The property is showing its age. We had reservations for an overnight and then two consecutive nights at the end of our trip. Our room for our first night was disappointing; it was very...

Fosshotel Baron is a few minutes walk from the Harpa Concert Hall, about 10 minutes walk from the harbour, 2 minutes walk from the main shopping streets and is one road back from the waterfront. Facilities are basic, but the convenience of the location more than compensate for this. Tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer and an ensuite shower/ bathroom are...

This hotel is fairly basic. Pretty hard bed and uncomfortable pillows. Small bathroom with very limited space to put anything and which always ended up wet when using the fairly small shower. The location is pretty central and the price was good. Breakfast was also included and had plenty of choice. The room was clean although hot and no way...
