A good location for exploring Reykjavik, near to the seafront and easy walking distances to many of the city highlights. Good heating, lots of hot water, comfortable beds and a good selection for breakfast. Good reception staff, especially the "Icelandic redhead"! Hotel itself probably needs a bit of a facelift, but didn't detract from our stay. The only negative was...

Rooms were clean and comfortable, although the bathroom is small and the TV didn't work. Ask for a sea-view and you can get by without the TV because the views from the fifth floor are fantastic. Wifi is good in the room but less so in the public areas. Typically expect the smell of sulphur when taking a hot shower....

At the time of our arrival we were tired and a little confused for you know the driving, jet lag and traffic signs but...the staff were super helpful and friendly, let us check in early and OH My the room was increible! Great view, comfortable bed and a very, very clean bathroom. The breakfast were amazing, delicious and plenty of...

We chose the Fosshotel Baron for an overnight stop due to its proximity to the town centre and the waterfront. As it turned out, the rain meant sightseeing along the waterfront was out due to poor light and conditions. But we were glad for its location close to many restaurants. The room was clean, but you can see it was...

Location is great, walking distance to tourist attractions and shopping/grocery stores. It serves a very good breakfast. The staff are cheerful, accommodating, friendly and very helpful. The hotel rooms are clean and well maintained despite the tiny shower in the bathroom. The sulfur odor from the hot water could be irksome but one can get used to its smell.

My guess is that this venue was originally designed as a backpackers hostel, as the public areas are small and utilitarian. Having said that, the rooms were clean & comfortable and the breakfast plentiful. Happy Hour is 5-7 when beer and wine are half price. There are only two bar stools and otherwise you have to sit at the breakfast...

We stayed here for three nights on our anniversary trip to Iceland. The hotel is clean fairly basic with all that you really need. It is within walking distance of most attractions in Rekjavik and there are a large number of restaurants and coffee shops within ten minutes. The hotel does a great breakfast buffet with a range of hot...

The rooms are clean. The beds were comfortable. The room we were in was in the rear of the building on a lower floor and did not have a view. We did not have closet, only a clothes rack. The bathroom was new although the shower was a bit small and one had to step up to get in. The...

Downtown location, walking distance to all the places you'd want to go. Room had a view of the sea and hills which were beautiful. Room itself was fairly basic and the bathroom wasn't too great but breakfast made up for it with so much choice. All tours pickup from here which is handy and there is a small supermarket just...
