Decent hotel, with everything you need, tv, hot shower, tea and coffee facilities. There was however one morning breakfast was running late (i guess because of new year) and we had to leave before we could have breakfast, bur Michael at reception was very helpful and we got a refund for that morning with no quarrels! Would stay here again!

The rooms were ok, the floor not particularly clean and one of the days my friends bed got make and mine didn't which was strange. The curtains didn't cover the whole window so the room was very light at night with the street lights shining into the room which was annoying. Bed was comfy and shower good. We bought breakfast...

This was our first trip to Iceland & the hotel was booked through a tour operator so it wouldn't have been our first choice due to its location. However the staff were really friendly especially the Italian receptionist who suggested a lovely restaurant for us to eat out on our first night. Although it was really expensive it ended up...

Nice hotel a bit out of the town but all the trips pick up from the hotels and bring you back so it doesn't matter that much. It is just a bit of a walk to find something to eat in the evening especially when the temperature is -8/9, there is however a great little eating place right next door...

This is a practical hotel, reasonable price, with comfortable clean rooms. There is a main building and an annex next door. We stayed in the annex and it was fine. There isn't a lift but there are only two floors, if access is a problem for you then be aware. Our room was well equiped. A double room with 2...

Pros: - Warm - Comfortable beds - Well priced - Well known by taxis/airport shuttles/tour groups so easy for drop off and pick up Cons: - The location is not ideal - 45 minutes to walk into city centre, and a taxi fare cost around AU$60 for a ten minute trip - Rooms above ground floor only accessible by stairs....

We travelled here on route to New York and chose the Artic Comfort hotel as it was reasonably priced . The room was warm and the bed very comfortable and despite having very thin covers we were warm enough it was however very mild for the time of year. The hotel is a 45 minute walk to the centre of...

Firstly, I'm not sure why there is a "Vik" in the hotel name because everywhere it is known as the Arctic Comfort Hotel (on tourist maps, for tour bookings etc). I knew from the booking that I wasn't expecting a deluxe hotel, and it suited our travel purposes fine. Location: It is located about 45 minute walk from Old Reykjavik...

Room was located in the building next to where you check-in. No elevators were available so maybe request a room on the ground floor when you book. The building and corridor looks slightly worn but the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Kettle, tea and coffee were provided. There were ample storage space for clothes and hangers were available. The...

This is an good budget hotel for Iceland (similar to Travelodge in the UK), the rooms are adequate, beds comfy, good shower facilities and staff friendly. The TV had poor reception; the location Sidmuila 19 is in the middle of a business park which is a good 10 minute drive from anywhere; and the breakfast is 2000 ISK (£14), not...
