Stayed here on a three night break on a package with Icelandair. Total package was very reasonable. Hotel staff very friendly & extremely helpful. Our room was in the annexe and was large, bright & very clean with a spectacular view of the Church. Slightly dated & the bathroom was small but good shower and plenty of hot water. Continental...

Basic but good value This was arranged as part of an Iceland Air three day Spring Break so didn't know what to expect Total package was very reasonable. Hotel staff very friendly. Arrived late at 2:00am and the one guy on duty was very helpful No lift but help with luggage if needed. Our room was small but spotless and...

Chose this hotel because of its proximity to a lot of downtown Reykjavik that we wanted to be near. Location is indeed good. Lobby area & cafe area are nice, but our room was very outdated, sparse & only marginally clean. Carpet was ratty & the room in general was dank, cramped & slightly depressing. A lot of noise from...

Great location just in front of Hallgrimskirkja. Rooms and bathrooms are a bit small. Breakfast was just average, and the only hot option was "make your own" waffles. The hotel is ok for short stay. Wifi was useless. If you just need a bed and have no special requirements, then this hotels is worth your money.

Dear Tolu78, Thanks for the review! We hope you enjoyed your stay and apologize that there were issues with the internet. We are currently giving the rooms a facelift at the hotel and though we cannot promise larger bathrooms, we are continously working to improve the property. Best wishes, The Hotel Leifur Team

Small, friendly welcoming hotel in the best location. Quiet area and so convenient for restaurants, shops and bars. Free hot drinks available all day. Very comfortable rooms despite being small, quite adequate for a short stay. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. No lift but offer of assistance with luggage. Friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel is ok for a short stay. The room we had was very small and no extras. The wifi did not work, and the staff was not very helpful. BUT the location is simply perfect and you cant get any further to hallgrimskirkja. The waffles are good.

Nice little hotel, great location and neighborhood, comfortable lobby with coffee and breakfast. I arrived very early, 8 am but was allowed checkin anyway. And I was grateful to find that after driving 10 hours one day and arriving back around midnight, that I could buy a few beers at the desk. Cannot comment on the main building, I stayed...

We found this hotel to be conveniently situated for the amenities of Reykjavik. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was small but more than adequate for a short stay, however the ensuite facilities were cosy! Because if it's situation, it was inclined to be noisy at night. Breakfast was continental style, rather busy at times but...

We have just returned from a short visit to Iceland. This hotel couldn't have been better. A fabulous location opposite the most wonderful church, with restaurants, shops etc on the doorstep. The room and bathroom were rather small and could have done with a lick of paint, but it was all very clean and lovely and warm. The breakfast was adequate....

The Leifur Eiriksson was chosen for us as part of a long weekend organised by Tour.is, and we are so glad it was! The room was clean and warm with comfortable beds; we didn't specify a double bed and were given two singles, but we pushed them together and came back the next evening to find they'd been made up...
