Stayed here during a work trip for two nights. The hotel is located right by the large church in the middle of Reykjavik. Really short to walk from the hotel to the two main streets that runs through the city center. I have stayed in some different hotels on Iceland and this was ok, but nothing more. The good part...

The hotel was fine for the price paid and the staff bent over backwards to make you stay pleasant they all worked hard to sort any problems out.The man who was on night shift named Farooq tried his hardest to keep the noise down in the hotel and also out side. All in all very good staff.

I stayed in this hotel for four nights for a break that involved exploring Reykjavik and further afield in the rest of Iceland. I wasn't expecting the hotel to be amazing as we hadn't blown the budget on accommodation (at least by Icelandic Standards) however we hadn't gone completely cheap either. The Leifur pretty much lived up to our expectations,...

This place is just okay. The main building is much nicer than the second building across the street. We stayed there twice: once upon our arrival and then again before our departure. The first night was in the main building. It was okay--not great, but definitely not horrible. The second night we were booked in the other building on the...

I found the hotel perfectly fine. I didn't travel to Iceland to spend time in a hotel room, so it suited me very well. It was warm and the bed was comfortable. I loved the fact that it's surely impossible to get lost as the hotel is opposite the highest landmark in Reykjavik, the Cathedral. And I have no sense...

Laundemate cafe buzzy and reasonable. Beware though Reykjavik is expensive (2 beers 18...

Stayed at this establishment twice - a few days prior to a driving tour, and then on return for the final couple of nights before flying home. Thankfully many other Icelanders work hard to be obliging, friendly and engaging - with the result that I would certainly return to Iceland in the future. Regrettably the Leifur Eiriksson doesn't live up...

Warm, clean and comfortable hotel with a good breakfast and very friendly staff. Hot drinks and water available 24/7 in the breakfast room. If you don't fancy eating out just buy a takeaway or a sandwich from the supermarket round the corner and sit in comfort in the breakfast room with a hot drink.

Decor and room size cannot compete with the larger Hilton hotels in the capital, but for location Hotel Leifur Eiriksson wipes the floor with its competitors! I woke up in the middle of the night and was curious of the time, problem is my phone was across the other side of the room. What did I do? Just looked out...

Arrived two days ago. Good welcome, map and WiFi passwords received. Breakfast simple but plentiful. Diy waffles a bonus. Free tea and coffee in lounge but no tea making in rooms. Lovely attic room with balcony and views.
