We arrived late at the hotel due to our flight being delayed from the UK (bad weather in Iceland). We were upgraded to a deluxe room on arrival as all the standard rooms were booked. (Good job as the standard rooms are very small - recommend booking deluxe or superior). The Ladies at reception (Kola, Nini, Carolina) were really helpful...

This was our second trip to the Hotel Cabin in Reykjavik, and once again it was a wonderful stay. We stayed in a Superior room on the 7th floor facing the bay. The views were spectacular. One main improvement from our last stay was that now we had a kettle in the room, along with tea and coffee. Breakfast was...

We were staying here with our tour group just one night - thank goodness! Room was tiny, we had to climb over our bags to get into bed and we only had one bag each! It was so noisey the walls are paper thin. (we also had the bad luck of staying at the same time a large school group...

Dear Shona D, Thank you for your stay in hotel Cabin. We apologies if the hotel did not meet your expectations and if the noises from out other guests bothered you. Yes I agree with you the walk to the city center from the hotel is about a 20 minute walk but you can also take a bus, there is...

Stayed at a standard room for 5 nights in mid march. The wifi in our room (room 325) is not strong enough. The room is quiet at night. It's a nice room when you consider how expansive other hotels are. There is also free parking provided by the hotel which has a lot of spaces. Staff are friendly. They provide...

My friend and myself stayed at the Cabin Hotel in January and had a really lovely time. Our room was small yes but we only slept in it, the rest of the time we were out and about enjoying Iceland. The food was fine more than enough for us, there wasn't a great choice but there was something for all....

The twin rooms was rather small, the two single beds were pushed together, there was no room to move them apart. However given that all we wanted to do was sleep at night and were only there for 4 nights, not really a problem, if I was staying longer I would upgrade to a deluxe room. The Staff were very...

It was definately worth the extra few pounds to upgrade to a delux room after reading how small the standard rooms are on Tripadvisor. The hotel is basic, including the breakfast, but we knew more or less what to expect from previous reviews, so we were fine with it. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable, with the beds...

This is a good budget hotel, the rooms are a bit on the small side, but you didn't go all the way to Iceland to stay in your room right? Staff was helpful answering our questions and booking/rebooking tours. Breakfast was nice, good selection of bread but no hot food. We used the restaurant twice as well, for dinner and...

Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It is basic and our room was small but it was just what we needed.
