We stayed here for a week and had a great stay. The hotel is very clean and very conveniently located on a main street near many different bars and restaurants. Additionally, the old harbor is a short walk away as is the bus station. The breakfast selection is definitely worth the extra cost of the hotel especially since food in...

The information I am giving here will help a great deal if you are trying to decide upon going to Hotel Skaldbreid. The hotel does NOT TELL YOU THESE THINGS: GOOD THINGS: - The staff are absolutely wonderful. Tony, Ryan, Paula and others. They will do anything in the world for you. You will leave Skaldbreid feeling like they are...

We were a little skeptical booking online, paying in advance without ever seeing the actual hotel but it was a great experience. Conviently located in the the center of town with easy walking to many resturants and pubs! The staff could not have been nicer. We arrived at 0800 and the rooms we reserved were not cleaned yet so they...

I give this hotel two stars, when it should get three...... It is a very basic hotel, that is not a problem, all you do there is sleep. right? We had two rooms, a single and a double both almost the same size. In the double one they seem to have just added a bed since there is only one...

We did an awesome trip to Iceland this past summer, Aug 2016. We did the campervan rental thing and highly recommend it. We planned to end our trip with three nights at a nice hotel in Reyk after camping for 7 nights. We thought it would be a nice touch to end on a more luxurious note and wanted a...

The location of this hotel was the reason for my stay. This was located right in the heart of the city. Easy walks to many restaurants and shopping. The transfer from the airport knew exactly where this hotel was located. This hotel only has one elevator which was fine because I never had to wait longer than 10 seconds for...

The hotel is very centrally located in Reykjavik with many restaurants, hallgrímskirkja church, and shopping very close. The staff was friendly and helpful in all regards. The showers were a bit tight, but overall the room was well appointed.

Great location and easy access to downtown. Reykjavik. Staff very friendly, good size room, varied continental breakfast. Only downside was the really loud music from the club next door going on until the small hours.

A great hotel centrally located to shopping and terrific restaurants. Within easy walking to harbor and bus station for tours. Street facing rooms can be a bit noisy from the nightlife. Good facilities and good breakfast. Staff was terrific. Entrance to hotel can be a bit of a challenge for those with physical handicaps.
