I'll be writing two reviews for Centrehotel Skjalbreid, as we stayed twice during our stay in Iceland. This is my first review. We stayed here our first night in Iceland on the 17th. Front desk was really nice and polite. They allowed us to check-in at noon, since our room was ready. The room was on the third floor, next...

The location of this hotel is incredible- it was a bit pricey, but from what I saw almost every hotel with moderate standards was... it took about an hour from the hotel by bus. We did not get the car until after we left this city center hotel and started our journey through southern Iceland. There was no parking that...

We came to Reykjavik the capital of Iceland just to have a nice weekend in march. The wether was ok windy and chill. The hotel was ok been there before. Got a nice room on the second floor facing the bookshop next door. Good size room could take some uplift. Little bit noice during the night ( street sound) but...

There are some reviews that complain about the 4* rating not being 4* - didn't worry us as it delivered in terms of comfort and location. It's not swanky but our three night stay there was comfortable and although its on the main street we had no problems with noise when sleeping. The hotel is very centrally located on the...

As the previous review states this is nowhere near a 4 star hotel. For a hotel right in the centre of a city I would give it 3 stars. It is comfortable. Rooms are adequate size, ensuite shower room was quite small, but big enough. It was clean and had all the basic facilities. It had English TV, which was...

Booked this hotel as a hidden name "4 star" hotel on expedia. After spending hours arguing with expedia that the hotel is not 4 stars, they refused to provide a refund. Upon arrival, the hotel was, as it appeared in pictures, nowhere near 4 stars. The hotel staff was nice enough to upgrade us to a "superior" room, which we...

I stayed here with my husband for a three night stay. We arrived after midnight and the receptionist was there to greet us. Our room was on the corner of the 3rd floor. Looked much better than on the website, so that was a bonus. The bathroon was very small and larger people or those with disabilities may struggle, but...
