Grand Hotel is a 1800-2100k taxi ride from the main shopping/food streets in Reykjavik which if you can afford it is no trouble, plenty of taxis. Hotel itself seems modern and looks impressive. I had a 'superior' room which to be honest was nothing special and wasn't worth the extra money over a normal room. Breakfast was the usual buffet...

Thank you very much for your review. It is great that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you were pleased with the reception. We do have a few categories of rooms. Our standard rooms are Atrium view rooms which have a view to the inside. Many guests like it, but others would like to have a view to...

Lovely 4 star hotel, 30 minutes walk from the city centre. If you don't want to walk so far, there are a string of reasonably priced restaurants 5 min's walk from the hotel on the main road close by. The hotel is modern and very impressive. The rooms are huge with a kitchenette included. Happy hour is from 5-7pm (half...

Clean hotel staff friendly & helpful ! Breakfast was a joke on Saturday morning cues all the way down the restaurant for the buffet style breakfast !! Until they opened both sides of the table ! But still a struggle to find somewhere to sit !! Bad organisation they have a seating area just outside the restaurant!! Maybe get people...

Thank you for your review. We do not appoint time for our guests to have breakfast and sometimes it can happen that many guests would like to have breakfast at the same time. We have no control over that. That happened on this Saturday and we thank you for your understanding. Thank you for mentioning our friendly and helpful staff....

The hotel is good, clean and standard but don't expect anything more than that. The parking was free which was important to us. We like the comfort of the bed, bathroom and room facilities i.e. hairdryer, ironing board, safe and fridge. The approximately to city centre was good if you have a car, we rode a taxi once and it...

Thank you for your review. It is great that you mentioned our rooms and amenities. We do have a great variety of breakfast which should keep you excited for more than four days. It is our warm buffet, cold buffet, Asian section and our organic section. It is also possible to dine using our bar menu. It has also a...

The hotel is a bit far from the city centre. Takes about 30min walking. But that is ok as most tour operators will offer pick up from hotels, and hotel grand is always a main stop. Convenience store (1011) is only 5min walk.

Thank you for your review. I am happy you had a pleasant stay. It always depends on what you would like to do if we are far from the city center. We are the opinion that we are not. You can always have a look on the internet if the hotel is located conveniently or not and then make a...

We stayed here for 3 nights in March, choosing an executive room with a view including breakfast. The hotel is lovely, the room was large and clean and the view over Reykjavík was fantastic from our room up on the 12th floor! We chose a rate with breakfast included and there was plenty of choice every morning and it wasn't...

Thank you very much for your stay. It is lovely that you enjoyed your stay with us mentioning our rooms, breakfast and our staff. We are always very happy when we receive compliments like this. Regarding the windows, it is sometimes very windy in Iceland and the houses make a lot of noise as there is nothing to break the...

We booked a package, and were very pleased with the hotel. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room was comfortable and perfectly appointed with modern amenities. We appreciated the various eco-conscious appointments and policies; which did not diminish our comfort in any way. And the hotel staff was very helpful in helping us get to our various tours and...

This hotel is very average. People do not care at all about the customers. A messy breakfast with permanent queue to get your food, tables dirty, waiters very busy to do.... almost nothing. You have to find your way to get a table as nobody will help you. The girl at the entrance checks your room number but nothing else......

I had trouble with my booking having booked through a third party and Sandra in bookings was amazing and put my mind at rest before we had even got there!
