On arrival, from the exterior, it was apparent that the place was in a poor state of repair.
On entering fears were well founded..there were many aspects that caused concern. The odour of the manager's cigarettes wafted throughout the building. Temporary repairs had been effected...More
We were greeted by Siggi the friendly manager and the initial impression was a very interesting building with plenty of space and books.

Cool, unique spot near a sculpture garden. Very mellow and off the beaten path. The best thing about this place was the INNKEEPER SIGGI! After 2 days in Iceland there wasn't much contact with the locals, the only person that was generous enough with his...More

Hello, My husband and I are interested in staying at the Peace Center. This is our 1st time in Iceland and a little confused about accommodations. Are there rooms and baths we wouldn't have to share? I have stayed in hostels, but my husband would not go for it easily. What is the difference in a "Guest House" and a hostel? Thanks for info.

If you book the superior room you have a bathroom next to it on a separate floor that normally nobody else uses.
