The house is authentic and very central, the staff managing the guesthouse as well as the cleaning lady are very nice. The only negative point with this accommodation is the noise, from the street and from other guests. As well, few things were not working during our stay but it was probably just a lack of luck: shower and sink...

PLEASE put some type of marking on the bottom step coming from the 3rd floor down to the 2nd. The bottom stair has turned the exact same color as the wood floor below it, and 3 of the 4 of us missed it and 2 about fell.... I was the lucky one who missed it all together. Stepped out into...

Iceland is expensive... Full stop. So this was basic accommodation in a good location. The place was clean, there was two bathrooms on each floor - we never had to wait for a shower. The cleaner was eager to get in to the room the next morning - 10am check out !! The place is central and next to a...

Checkin was extremly dissapointing! Even after been told somebody would come on call, we had to find the main Hotel to do the payment, got a key and "help yourself!", all at 2am in the night! Cellar room with mold, tiny windows, broken light in shared bathroom with no hangers or anything to leave your stuff. No "wooden floor", "small...

Solo travelers beware this place could ruin your holiday. Yes it is well located but the plus side stops there. My cell consisted in a very uncomfortable bed a side table and a chair. No storage for clothes. No hooks for your towel (which you have to keep wet for the duration of your stay). It smelled atrocious and the...

Let's face it - unless you are from anywhere else in Scandinavia, Iceland is very expensive. Skolabru was the best we could afford and even then it was 3 times accommodation prices in UK So, how was it ? We are regular budget travellers and used to sharing facilities so it wasn't the surprise other reviewers have seemingly found it....

It's a big guesthouse in middle reykjavik. It's absolutely perfect located right in the center of this beautiful city. Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable, the shared bathrooms are also in a well quality. wifi everywhere. would come back.

A very plain room with a shared bathroom but with access to a kitchen with refrigerator, hot plate and dishes. Lots of good places to eat nearby. A good value for the money. Here's 25 more characters.

The guest house was clean, but that was about all. The room smelled funny, and everything was shabby. The bathroom--which was shared--was small and awkward. The shower was dreadful. We stayed two nights and had no maid service at all. The location wasn't bad, but I still wouldn't recommend it.

The price was right for two nights in downtown Reykjavik. Parking was a challenge. You are near the Parliament building and there were protests in April. We shared a bathroom which worked out well. It was across the hall. The hallway was noisy and our door squeaked. We could park the rental car close after 6 PM but you competed...
