If you're travelling on a budget, but want to be in the centre of Reykjavik, I highly recommend this little gem. Stayed with my adult daughter in a twin room. You call as you arrive and someone comes to meet you, in our case, a very pleasant young man who gives you a tour of the guesthouse. Spotless, beautiful vintage...

Extremely comfortable beds. Perfect after you've done a lot of walking. The kitchenette is a really nice way to help you save money while you are traveling because you can shop at the local grocery stores and make your food there. On top of that, there is a free food section for people to leave anything they don't want to...

I stayed in a single room here which had a window covered in mould. The matters was about 2cm thick and totally inadequate. Told that the mould is because of the weather, not a good explanation given everywhere else I've stayed in Iceland doesn't have this problem. No attempt was made to actually clean it. Wouldn't recommend nor will I...

Absolutely lovely little guest house. The location was smack bang in the heart of the city center and was located central to all the local bars and clubs whilst still enjoying a quiet nights sleep. Close by was the high street where I was able to arrange all my travel and excursions and purchase all provisions for my stay. Staying...

Nice place, basic but nice. Nice kitchen where your room gets it own space in the fridge and cabinets. Check the left over stuff so you don't buy dupes of stuff like sugar and coffee filters. Place is clean, relativity quiet and pretty centrally located. Wifi in all the rooms and floors as well.

I stayed in the "basement" there was someone walking back and forth on the floor above for hours. The hair dryer had gone out, in the basement, I was told to go to the upper floor and borrow one... (how much does a hair dryer cost?) On the day of check out, I was told by the maid that I...

This ticked all the boxes for us - cheap, clean, central. We booked a twin room which was clean and roomy, however the pillows could perhaps be upgraded. Even though its shared bathrooms, there were plenty of showers for everyone and we never found ourselves waiting in the morning. The only thing was a smell coming from the drains (although...

The house is authentic and very central, the staff managing the guesthouse as well as the cleaning lady are very nice. The only negative point with this accommodation is the noise, from the street and from other guests. As well, few things were not working during our stay but it was probably just a lack of luck: shower and sink...

PLEASE put some type of marking on the bottom step coming from the 3rd floor down to the 2nd. The bottom stair has turned the exact same color as the wood floor below it, and 3 of the 4 of us missed it and 2 about fell.... I was the lucky one who missed it all together. Stepped out into...

Iceland is expensive... Full stop. So this was basic accommodation in a good location. The place was clean, there was two bathrooms on each floor - we never had to wait for a shower. The cleaner was eager to get in to the room the next morning - 10am check out !! The place is central and next to a...
