This was a great place to stay, within walking distance of all shops, restaurants to downtown. Breakfast was okay but cheaper and more convenient than eating out. There is also a kitchen in a separate building if you want to cook your own meals.

We stayed at the Reykjavik Downtown Hostel our first and last nights in Iceland, and found it friendly, clean, pleasant, and conveniently located. The price was reasonable for Iceland. There is a nice detached kitchen, and coffee and snacks are available in the lounge.

I stayed here for a week. It is the first time I stayed in a hostel and I am very happy with my choice. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom in the room has the most amazing shower. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It even has a kitchen and a cozy sitting room for the guests. The...

Not much expectation very basic within the room. We are staying right by the main door and staircase hence sound proof had been bad with slamming of the doors whenever people passed by. there's some raisins and chocs leftover by the corner of the room which was not fully cleaned and we just live with it since it's only a...

This hostel has it all. Super nice staff, clean rooms, good location (walking distance from Reykjavik's main attractions), great breakfast, etc.; I could go on. Was there with a group of friends and stayed in a 6-bed dorm room. We did happen to hear a little noise during the night (we slept with the windows open), but nothing unacceptable for...

This is a simple hostel, my husband and I had a private room. It was small and basic but a clean room and with the price of other accommodation in Reykjavik quite reasonable. The staff were really helpful at all times. The kitchen was much needed as eating out is very expensive, although I wish people would wash up after...

This hostel is very well located - just a block form Reykjavik center with plenty of free parking nearby. Rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable bedding. Hallways quiet. Nice recycling and book exchange facilities. Kitchen small (and a bit of a challenge to get to in deep snow!) but well stocked. Check-in staff was not overly friendly and couldn't...

The idea was to come alone but I ended up bringing my parents with me who were really curious about the northern lights. I booked this hotel mainly due to the reviews and I don't regret at all. Streinunn was at the reception when we arrived. She is part of the staff and during our stay she was really friendly...
