The hotel has bus stops nearby, very easy to go to the city center. The room was nice and big bed with kitchen and nice facilities. We stayed 5 days but never experience someone did vacuum clean or make up our room they only change towels but never clean so after 5 days our room became very dusty. Overall I still like our stay. No reception available at the hotel at night but the hotel is safe. Alarm system in the room is sensitive so careful not to make a lot of smoke while cooking.

Comfortable bed, excellent shower and good kitchen facilities in the room. Breakfast has good selection - cereals, yoghurt, breads, fruit, pastries, meats and cheese and waffles.

Great location for us as we had our own car but we saw tour buses collecting guests and the supermarket/pharmacy/off license are all easily walkable.

Only negative was the room could have been cleaner. It wasnt disgusting but we found quite a few long hairs (we both have short) and using a tissue to mop a water spill off the floor showed that it hadn't been cleaned very well at all but bathroom and kitchen were clean so unless you need it spotless not a trip-ruining issue.

Overall, we would use this hotel again and the price we paid (£275 inc breakfast 4 nights) was good value.

We were really delighted about the decoration of the room. But at our arrival we already noticed one light bulb was missing, and we felt a large gap between the window and the window frame which we didn’t mention the first day. That wad our mistake, because I got very sick the last two days because of the storm snow that happened the last days of our trip. I noticed a lot of dust on those windows frame and shelters so I had the impression the room hadn’t been cleaned for a while. We had the impression they didn’t really clean the room during our stay as well. Once they even only dropped fresh towels on a not done bed...
We also had the chance to get to experience the fire alarm at 10pm because somebody burned is food while doing the dinner in his kitchenette. Thanksfully after 10 min somebody came to turn off the noisy alarm.
The customer service of the hotel is really poor. No one at the reception when we arrived and no cards available for the self check in. We had to find them ourselves in the staff office from the hotel. The first breakfast we had there was extremely chaotic with staff who had really wrong attitude and arrogance especially when you asked them for coffee as the coffee machine was broken. They seemed overwhelmed and not professional. The next breakfast we had we saw a large improvement when we saw the manager and the owner of the hotel dropping by. The owner and his wife are really such lovely persons and really welcoming, plus they gave us nice advice on what should be seen in the area. However I regret the arrogance of the manager who didn’t even say us goodbye when we left. We think there’s a lot of our room for improvement especially regarding the management and the staff in terms of organization and customer service. Otherwise, the location was good but you definitely need a car to go to downtown or make some road trip around. In the end, We will give them a second chance if we would come back to Reykjavík.

I didn’t like my stay at this hotel. The pictures and the concept seem modern, but ithe hotel doesn’t deliver. There is only one self check-in iPad, so when people need to give in all there details, it takes a while. You need to activate the room key yourself. And there is a phone to be in contact with an operator to help you. Seems like a good concept, but one check-in simply isn’t enough. Stood there for more than 30 minutes, because the 2 check-ins before me took some time! Although I did provide my details up front and the room was already payed, I again needed to put in my credit card details. Why? There was no minibar. And no trust either apparently.

There was no breakfast are drinks provided, as off covid measures. That was not a problem, since there were kitchen facilities in the room/studio. But… these kitchen facilities were in fact the main reason that the fire alarm went off many times during the evening. Annoying, it didn’t give me a safe feeling, and there was no one from the hotel on side. A guest who stayed there more nights was able to put off the alarm, as it apparently happened many times before.

It is a typical tourist trap hotel with no feel. The toilet is placed almost “under” the sink (not practical), the rooms are not very clean (the little round table and the floor were sticky), there is no information on the wifi code in the room, no table next to the bed, the floor counting is not Icelandic,… well there are plenty of hotels in Reykjavik, just avoid this one, if you want a relaxed night and value for money.

This is more like a hostel than a hotel. The breakfast area is very dark(dark red light),which is probably better so you don’t see all the dirt. The staff is very chaotic and slow, there was never enough bread for everyone. Even if you didn’t book breakfast you can just go and eat,no one checks.
The cleaners don’t really clean the room they just change towels. Also the lighting in the room is dark,so you don’t see all the dust on the shelves.
They have a constant problem with the fire alarm going off and no one really cares. After breakfast is finished there is no staff in the house(we discovered this when the alarm went off on the first evening)

It is definitely not worth the price!!

The pirctures give a better impression of the place than it really is.

We stayed at the hotel for a weekend break. Situated just outside the centre, it's around a 30-40 minute walk to the centre of town. The hotel room is quite small, only big enough for two at the most. The kitchen area has everything you need, stocked with tea, coffee and milk on arrival. The bathroom was particularly small, and as it was a wet room, was difficult to stop water escaping into the main bedroom. Saying this, for a short stay, it's a great base, and a nicely designed. For families or guests wanting more space, I would no recommend this room.

If like us, you are happy to walk, the BSI bus stop that is the departure point for most tours, is just 30 mins walk away. Or a short taxi journey.

Overall our stay here was very lovely. The room was nice. We had a corner room which included a view of the mountains. There was a mini kitchen and all the cooking equipment you would need along with a dishwasher and coffee grounds. Everything was very clean. Their welcome paper said that the room would be cleaned every other day and there were no do not disturb signs. We found it kind of strange that someone seemed to come in and change the trash but nothing else. No new towels, no new sheets. No laundry options here. Closest place is a Laundromat downtown which is very expensive. The TV didn't work. The welcome paper also stated there would be a breakfast bag left but the staff said the only option was a buffet which was only on certain days and we had to request it the night before. We did that and came down the next morning where the woman at the desk said she knew nothing about it. Breakfast cost 20 euros per person.

Difficult to find at first as it doesn’t have a big sign on the door, but generally the hotel is clean, modern and good value for money. The staff are extremely helpful - the lady managing downstairs at breakfast answered questions about the local area, using buses and also let me use her phone to contact tour operators.
The room had a kitchenette and included tea, coffee, milk, toiletries etc.

There are many positives attributes to this place and you can find it easily in the other reviews. My criticism emanate from my experiences observing many locations after a fire while I was a fire alarm technician. In the center of the hotel you have the elevator and stairs vestibule which is open from top to bottom. In case of fire it will spread thru the chimney effect very quickly and will block the exit pathway. You have a fire door to prevent such an occurrence however since it's an hotel with high traffic of tourists with luggage someone will always put a door stop (see attached picture). In California the fire department will require an electric magnet to close the door in case of alarm since the know they understand human behavior. Given that the building does not have the most stringing fire codes they installed smoke detectors everywhere in order to give the residents enough time to escape. Many units have a small kitchen and a smoke detector above it. I can tell you the smoke detector that will not go off from regular cooking is way too expensive for an hotel therefore it is guaranteed to have false alarms as it happened during my one night stay. Management can easily fix these issues and I hope that my criticism will not deter other from using this wonderful place

As other said, the entrance is not easy to find, and you need to be careful where you park if you have a car. You have a free parking around.
We didn't see anyone during check-in nor check-out, you need to do both yourself via the screen in the entrance.
It was strongly smelling cigarette in our floor when we arrived and when I informed the "hotel" I didn't get any answer.
The communication is good with them about how to access the hotel though.

The room:
We came during wintertime...so you have snow outside and no rug in the entrance of the apartment. We had to put our shoes in the shower to avoid having water all over the place.
Your room is checked every day, so this is something that some ppl enjoys but I definitely don’t, and I would have liked to be able to put something on my door to ask ppl to not come into my room. I don’t need my bins and towels to be changed every day...
The bed is comfy, and the kitchen was well equipped, but we had to re-clean before using stuff.
However, not sure if there is a point to have a small dishwasher when you only have a set for 2ppl (2 spoons/2 forks/2 knives)
This is overkilled to do a dishwashing cycle each time there are 2 spoons in it.
Also, you don’t have any user manual for the oven/microware – I found one on internet to help as I didn’t know some functionalities. It was a 6th sense whirlpool, and you had some specific functionalities to this one.
It was cold when we arrived and had to turned on the radiators. The windows seem a bit old as well and fresh air was passing though. The curtains were a good barrier then and the street was not very loud.
Just a Saturday night we could hear music all night.

The bathroom:
the shower is ok, you are not provided with a rug as well and nothing to put your things. I was expected at least a small shelf

The place:
This a bit far from city centre, it is a 40min walk so I wouldn't say that this is super close.
You have buses around still if you want. they seemed to need the same time to go in the centre.

I wouldn't have liked to stay my whole trip here.
