Location: a forty minute walk into town, with nothing to eat or do nearby. Very inconvenient unless you have a car (but they do have free parking). Amenities: common areas (bathrooms, living room, kitchen) are filthy. We never saw anyone clean them, and everything had a film on it. The water tasted and smelled like sulfur. The first night, our...

Chef was very nice and polite, rest of staff were okay nit very helpful with where to go. Otherwise just basic and ordinary. Probably wouldn't stay here again. Rather expensive for what you pay for as well.

I stayed here on 29th November to 2nd December, I personally found almost nothing wrong with the Capital inn, the staff were helpful and polite, the room was what I was looking for somewhere with four walls and a bed to use as a base whilst I enjoyed Iceland, the only thing I didn't like was the fact that it...

I think some of the reviews here are really unfair. You get what you pay for. If your expecting 5* luxury, this isn't the place for you. If your wanting a clean, tidy, friendly place to sleep at night while you take in iceland then stay here. I stayed here with my children for 3 nights and I have nothing...

I was pretty anxious about staying in my first hostel, the thought of sharing bedrooms and bathrooms wasn't appealing. Though we booked a deluxe double room with and en suite for a week (and for a very reasonable price I might add), and it was absolutely everything we could of asked for. As anyone will tell you, Iceland is expensive,...

Good size room. Bathroom was down the hall, one men's and one women's per floor. Wasn't a problem for us, but something to consider when booking a hotel. Room had sink and mirror, so could wash up, brush teeth, guys could shave, right in the room. Hotel was too far from downtown to walk. If we were on a tour,...

We were staying just one night at the Capital Inn and it was really okay. Our room was pretty big and very clean. We were lucky and it was not a busy time when we were staying there but I am wondering how 1 bathroom/gender will be enough per Story when all the rooms are booked out. It was the...
