This guesthouse is well located in Reykjavik, a short walk from the magnificent Harpa music centre, very close to Bankastraeti and Skolavordustigur streets with their shops and restaurants. Orvar, the owner, is very personable and helpful; a great source of information and advice. At the time we were staying there, only 5 rooms were available for use, the two upper...

You just cant go wrong with the location on this one. The rooms are nice, warm and comfy too. Could do with regular house keeping though. Stayed thr for six days and not once did the house keeper come by. the host was however apologetic and sweet about it. Gave us a discount too.

This guesthouse is in the old town not far from city hall. The guesthouse had comfortable beds and was clean. However the lights in the bathroom did not work but we had no one to call. The next day they were fixed but the beds were not made up. There is no hairdryer.

The location is the main reason I picked this place, which is why it's so expensive. It's a nice looking place on the outside, and not too bad on the inside. We were put in a room which to access, you had to enter what felt like another part of the building. The room had a noticeable draft coming through...

Great location right downtown a block from the walking street. It was extremely easy checking in - you are emailed the door key code and told what room key # to pick up at the front desk. Great idea for enabling people to check in after hours! The accommodation was ok, a little more worn out than I was expecting....

If you are visiting Reykjavik you have to get your head around the fact that for the same price as you would get a 4-5 star hotel room in Australia, you are going to be in a modest guesthouse! Our double room with private bathroom was small, basic, and up 3 flights of stairs. However, it was clean, warm, the...

Very cute and quaint place in the centre of downtown Reykjavik. Door is locked from the front. You would need a code to get access. I booked this through my travel agency and didn't receive any email/code prior. However I was able to contact the owners directly and they provided me with the information I needed. No one at reception...

Fantastic small family run guesthouse in the centre of Reykjavik! The owner was very welcoming when we arrived in the morning, he was very friendly and knowledgable and gave us a lot of local information when we were checking in. He was always smiling when ever we seen him and he always had time for a chat which made the...

The location of this guesthouse is great! Such a short walk to the centre of Reykjavik where theres bars and places to eat. We thought there was parking specifically for the guesthouse but there is just paid for parking all over the city, you just gotta find it! We were super lucky and managed to park in the car park...

We stayed for 3 nights in November and was really happy with our choice of accommodation. It was a bit tired but clean and very comfortable. The heating worked well and the water was plenty hot enough. The location was great, 5 minute walk to the harbour and near to lots of great bars and restaurants. Great bakery next door,...
