This accomodation has been extensively renovated since the photos on TA and is now known as B&B Rooms Husavik 3. Very modern and clean accommodation. Shared bathroom facilities were ideal given the number of rooms. We particularly liked the kitchen facility and were able to stream some TV to relax for a few hours one evening. The property deserves extra stars for the coffee machine!! It is barista standard and we loved having it available! The flexibility of breakfast was perfect as we could eat as early or as late as we liked. There was plenty of food available and all was great quality. Location was ideal, with less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of Husavik, and the owners were very welcoming, friendly and responsive to queries we had. We would 100% recommend B&B Rooms to anybody and we hope to return in the future. Chris and Clare (Scotland).…

My 82-year-old father-in-law, 12-year-old daughter, my husband and I stayed with Milo for three nights and could not have had a more welcome, happy stay in Husavik! Milo is the perfect host: friendly, thoughtful, and accommodating, and thought of everything-- even included delicious surprises in our refrigerator (we had enough in there for substantial breakfasts for all, every day), took time to show us how to use the large-screen tv, and responded immediately when our car got stuck in the snow. Rooms are cozy and bright, with excellent quality sheets and pillows. And the location is within walking distance of GeoSea, a geothermal ocean water spa that tops our list (even over the Blue Lagoon). Thank you, Milo, for a memorable stay in Husavik!

Good guesthouse, good furniture in the common spaces, it looks like an house! Kind personnel, good breakfast in a neighbor hotel! Close to city centre, in one of the best city in Iceland! Absolutely to try, also for more than one day

There was a problem with the booking system, causing room overbooking. They solved this problem by booking in another hotel for us, better than the one we had reserved in the first place. Also, they gave us some chocolate and a museum entrance for free as a compensation. Our stay was very very nice, hotel staff is the best we have found in Island.

The room had two beds, a small nightstand and a small sink. There wasn't much room for luggage. (I snagged a chair from the hall so we had a surface to put a bag.) Two shared baths down the hall that were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was a half-block away at their other property but it was a decent spread. A decent place for budget travel.

The place was flooded with guests and we got an upgrade in case of room, luck us! the family ran business is very nice one with friendly people. The place was clean and with nice bath. In the morning the breakfast was great and similar to the three start hotels which we have stayed during our trip to iceland.

I booked the Husavik Guesthouse for the same reason I suspect most others do: in peak season it's basically the only affordable lodging in Husavik. You do get basic lodging and breakfast with good wi-fi, but you should be aware it's not super clean (not dirty necessarily but not clean either), check in is actually down the street so there isn't anyone onsite to ask questions about the area or the guesthouse, and the room is pretty small. Just know what to expect going in.

Stayed here for one night. I found the facilities perfectly fine for one night; more than that and I'm not so sure. The guesthouse is a bit old, but I found everything in good repair and did not experience the noise level that others mentioned. And regarding the "rotten egg smell"--if you're traveling in Iceland, get used to it, especially out in less populated areas. That's just the way the tap water is and it's not THAT bad! Back to the guesthouse: breakfast was in the main hotel down the street and was no different from other breakfasts I had while traveling: totally fine. Staff was nice and helpful and Husavik is a really charming little town.

Good location. Small restaurant with good food. All ground floor and two upstairs rooms need to share the only two bathrooms and toilets at ground floor. Sometimes need to wait for a while. The only room with private bathroom was supposed booked but somehow not available. Helpful staff emailed our local travel agent and got refund. But quite an old house.

Rooms are extra small and mattresses extra uncomfortable. The locks of the doors of each room do not work properly and the noice is unbearable. First place in a 9 day trip with deficient curtains (4am in summer sun goes up). The bathrooms smell of rotten egg as if you were cooking a 4 people omellete with eggs from the age of the Romans. Unless u are travelling with a low budget or been trekking 4 volcanoes in a row wouldnt recommend it. Breakfast was ok and coffee was horrible.
