For being out in the country (really in the country), the area is beautiful 360 degrees. The hotel is not a four or five star hotel but it offers all the things that you want in a hotel. It is clean, great location near the glacier and diamond beach and the hotel has a good restaurant with friendly, sweet people....

We picked this hotel because of my niece's recommendation. Unpretentious hotel located excellently to visit the ice cap, the shore, and just gorgeous scenery. Very friendly staff, abundant and excellent food, and clean basic rooms. Very interesting museum attached to the restaurant focusing on early 20rh century life in Iceland.

This is the second time I've stayed here. Room is clean and spacious. Great location near the glacier. The restaurant is nice but pricey. They need to add more basic food to the menu like burgers and sandwiches. Breakfast is ok, too many meats for my taste. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room we had was modern and spacious and very clean. The room is not in the same building that you check in or have breakfast or Dinner but it did have a common area where you could have tea or coffee. We arrived late so they had stopped serving dinner by 9 but...

Large and comfortable room looking out to sea. Great wifi and good shower. Good dinner of Arctic char and cod served by pleasant staff. The breakfast had a wide selection. Only downside could be the communal lounge area which was right outside our room. People congregated to watch TV together and this could have been noisy but luckily that night...

We had planned on traveling farther, but we wanted to do the iceberg boat trip and needed to go in the morning. We drove to the first town past the bergs and pulled up at this inn. The rooms were nice and room. The restaurant had a good selection and the served breakfast. Our only disappointment were the green, congealed,...

The outside looks like a library, the rooms are clean and modern, near the ocean and a farm with live sheep. Delightful museum on site. Had one of the best meals in Iceland, local arctic char and lamb. Our server was helpful and friendly and we loved our stay here.

The good thing about this hotel compared to all other Icelandic hotels is, its breakfast has scramble egg, and I am surprised it is the only hotel we booked in Iceland with scramble egg and it really brought me huge pleasure when seeing scramble egg in breakfast. Other pros: *Best breakfast compared to other $150 range hotel we booked in...

We stayed in this hotel because it was close to the ice caves and Jokulsarlon. For the area, prices were okay. The room itself was clean, large and freshly decorated (we were in the new building). The meatballs were average, really we should have paid more attention when the admirably candid waiter said they weren't the best thing on the...

We enjoyed our stay here, a room overlooking the sea, fixtures and fittings seemed new. Free coffee and choice of teas provided in the lobby. Great choices for breakfast in the Restaurant museum and enjoyed snack and dinner there too the previous day. All staff were friendly and efficient, made us feel welcome.
