My lady introduced me this type of place and I'm sooooo glad she did! I LOVED every moment of it. We stayed for 4 nights, by night 1 we were introduced to the locals. The view from our room alone was breathtaking. We rented a golf cart, did the snorkeling excursion (highly recommended), ate at both restaurants on Water Island...

Happy Birthday, again! Thank you to your lady for suggesting us. We hear that time and time again..."I'm not sure about going camping!", "This was a compromise for us"...and almost always...it turns out to be a successful holiday. There is just something special about Water Island and Virgin Islands Campground... Looking forward to your return visit. Sincerely, Deborah

We were assigned one of the cottages. Number 3. Beds were comfortable. Was not sure about the temperature, but we all slept great. It actually seemed cool when we got up every morning. Shared kitchen was awesome. It was great to meet so many people. Shared bath/shower was actually 2 private unisex showers and 2 private unisex toilets. This was...

I have never stayed at a place like this before so I didn't know what to expect. It was somewhere between a resort and a hostel, if that's possible! The cabins feel very private and are so adorable. Each is screened-in so the evening breeze blows through as you sleep but keeps the critters out. Very relaxing. There was a...

My goodness...thanks for the review. It's interesting and certainly tells future guests about what is ahead of them if they choose to stay with us...I wish I had so many words. Everyone likes Karl's sailboat trip...the highlight of many a guests trip. There is something amazing about swimming right next to turtles...they are so majestic and so graceful...it is a...

We stayed here 4 nights of our trip but should have stayed the entire time! You can rent a golf cart to go down to the beach, but I really enjoyed walking all around Water Island. And the best part is you can hang out at the beach all day, hang out at Dinghy's at night, and not have to...

Dear Pete, Thanks so much for your review. You tapped in to the bonding that goes in that cooking pavilion...Randy had already mentioned how you all bonded...it happens often and I'm not sure why. I guess we attract the people with the same values: care about the environment and feel good about putting a small footprint on the island they...

We just got home from a wonderful 11 day stay at the campground. This was our third visit. We have nothing but good things to say about our stay. Lisa and Randy were awesome hosts!!! We cooked in the communal kitchen several times. Everything in the kitchen area was set up well and was so easy to use. No need...

My daughter and I spent 5 days here over Thanksgiving. The location is ideal - midway on the island, with a nice workout walk (lots of hills!) to both Sprat Bay to the north and the fort to the south, with a quick hike to the beautiful beach. Snorkeled with the local sea turtles every swim but one, at Honeymoon...

We came across this campground looking for a place near the airport. Were we surprised! Cabin was spacious and the ocean views and breezes are so soothing! The kitchen and bathroom facilities are clean and organized. Honeymoon Beach and the Dinghy bar are excellent and a short walk away. I would definitely stay here again, so convenient for island hopping....

I'm so glad you did find us...close to the airport, yes, but we do have water between us. The ferry ride is only 10 minutes, so you're on the beach 1 hr or less after you land!! I personally love that after I have to get up at 3am to make it to the airport. Thanks so much for your...

Michael, Thank you so much for your review in English...I thought you had a great holiday, but was unable to read your last review...It's so nice of you to write 2 reviews...thanks so much. Yes, we don't have a lot of businesses on Water Island, but Dingy's and Heidi's provide good food for those times you don't feel like cooking...

I booked this trip a few months ago, not knowing anything about the Virgin Islands. This trip was for our honeymoon and we stayed in the Suite. I knew as soon as I saw a "campground" this was the place I wanted to be! The managers Randy and Lisa were the best! They prepared a dinner for all the guests...

This trip was our third time staying at the campgrounds and it was just as fantastic as it was the first two times.
