About 15 mins taxi from Ivalo airport for 40 Euros. stayed for 3 nights. Rooms were cosy and warm. Food was excellent with a variety of Finnish meals and good value. Unless you have a car I recommend eating in. Small kitchen for diy food, tea coffee etc. Lookout for the bear! The Huskys were the stars. You must do a trip. 4 hours was great fun. 2 to a sledge and 6 huskys. The guide was very knowledgeable and had a fab lunch. All in all a great stay to see the real Finland and saw Northern lights on the last night. Take a good camera to see all the colours.

A very memorable total experience. You feel like you get away because the location is in the woods far away from Ivalo town. We actually walked there from Ivalo, which felt romantic but you better dress warmly.

The dog sledding was incredible - we did the full day trip, and my wife and I each steered our own sled with 6 huskies each. Went up and down hills, rode across a frozen river, saw reindeer in the wild, and chopped wood to cook lunch in the woods.

The personally cooked dinners were memorable - reindeer one night, salmon another, and both very tasty with local fresh berry juice. The breakfast was also very hearty - meats, cheeses, cereals, locally made jams.

The sauna in the guesthouse is high quality, and you can adjust it to make it quite hot.

Maybe the best part is that you can see the Northern Lights at night if you go outside. However, the view is blocked by the trees, so I recommend the Guesthouse build a tower to view the Aurora Borealis better.

Do not missed this family run activity. Great hospitality from the team. We arrived 2.5 hours before our appointed ride. Free flow of hot beverages provided by the host.
Well equipped overall to protect from the cold except a face mask was missing. The staff was extremely helpful assisting everyone with the outfit and a provided very clear instruction and demonstrated to all as to how to operate the sledge safely.
The husky ride distance covered was real long (value for money). Passenger protection gear can be improved for hot climate people like us who is staying near the equator line with 30+ deg C all year round.
My only issue with the ride was withstanding the cold breeze that was pricking my face. Other than that am extremely satisfied with the ride and the service provider although we did traveled to Tromso, Kirkenes and Rovaniemi

Amazing place with excellent service and food.
I’ve been here with my friend for two nights and we were very pleased by the location and the service. We had breakfast and dinner and food is delicious. My friend is vegetarian and they offered her veggie options.
They book for us an Aurora tour and a husky safari .. despite the weather (-35) everything was fantastic! We will come back!

We stayed at Guesthouse Husky for 2 nights and wish we had stayed longer. The husky dogs surround the guesthouse and you are allowed to enter some of their kennels and play with them. The home cooked dinners are amazing - we opted for the 3 course dinner and enjoyed every bite on both nights. Besides breakfast and Dinner (if you opt for it), they dont sell any other food or beverage so the best thing to do is to stock up at the Ivalo supermarket beforehand. We opted for the 'Mushing makes me hungry' husky safari and loved it. It was totally worth it and the soup lunch next to the bonfire was so satisfying. You can even ask the reception to hook you up for other activities such as Ice Fishing, Reindeer safari, Aurora tours. We did the Aurora express tour on our first night here (which was amazing) but then on the second night we saw the northern lights dancing right above the guesthouse so you can choose to save money and see the northern lights from the comfort of the Guesthouse. If you are a dog lover you are going to love this place even though the barking huskies wake you up early in the morning;) I hope to go back someday and spend more time here.

Hi there Probably the snow is not thick enough for the husky ride there. But you can visit the lovely husky village there where they keep all dogs there. Regards, Steve

Yes, they can help to arrange tours such as Northern Light hunting and other tour via their office there. Staff are very nice there and they always replied to my questions even my booking was made very last minutes.
