...this is definitely for you. A vast ship with around 35 rooms for guests, which is a tourist attraction in itself. The rooms are reasonably sized. Ours had 5 porthole windows, though only 2 opened. There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, which was a shame, and no wardrobes, shelves or drawers, just some coathooks. However the bed was...

I got a budget offer and loving some adventures - I decided to stay on a sailing cruiser - now being a hotel. Getting there: If on a budget take the Airport Shuttel to the central station and walk about 10 min to get there. The shuttle costs about 100 Sek. If you prefer a Taxi be ready to spend...

The ship is very impressive as soon as you approach it and more so once you step inside. The front desk clerk (I wish I got her name) was very kind and helpful during the check in process and gave me insight to my surrounds. The room was nautical and really felt like being on a ship. The room was...

The cool quotient is pretty high at the Hotel Barken Viking. At least for me because I love boats, ships, and nautical things. The staff was friendly; the room clean; breakfast typical of Swedish hotel breakfasts. There is a lot of construction in the area now (April 2017) which impacts parking and getting around the immediate area with ease.

This is a great place to stay - all the good facilities of a 3-star hotel but right on the water in a 110 year old vessel. The cabin is very comfortable - I was a bit worried about claustrophobia with no opening window, but this was not a problem as there was plenty of air flow. The en suite...

Very nice accomodation, close to the Central Station. Beds seemed a bit soft when sitting in them at first, but slept very well in them later. No minibar in the room, could have used a cold refreshment in the morning. Got that at breakfast a few minutes later. Breakfast was very good, but could have been more than one type...

the room was very comfortable with a good on-suite shower, all very clean. Breakfast offered a good selection and service generally friendly and helpful, the ship was in easy reach of the city centre.

Great quirky hotel about 5 minutes walk from the railway station. Check-in was quick and very friendly. Clean room, not massive but comfortable and clean. nice shower. Breakfast was good but no staff in attendance. I had to go downstairs from the restaurant and explain that there was nobody there. Also I called back in for a drink after I...

The ship was perfect, clean and cozy. The staff very friendly and the breakfast super! The ship is docket 10 minutes by foot from the city center. The experience to sleep in a real ship, built in 1907 was both exciting and comfortable! I'll come back for sure.
