The Acapulco is on a quiet square just outside of the city centre and is well situated for the metro and nearby shops and cafes. The rooms are really small apartments with separate kitchenettes and although the furnishings are basic and a little chintzy it's all perfectly comfortable. The hotel is very no frills with little in the way of...

We stayed at appartement 41 for three nights early August, 2012. Two adults, one child (12 years). A one room appartment, with a separate kitchenette. We liked: The location - near downtown Stockholm. Ca 15 mns. walk to Old Town. Only minutes away from subway. More than enough space for three (perhaps 30 m2 in all). Nice and clean (though...

This hotel is really awfull. Wi-fi does not work. It is almost impossible even to chat in gmail, and skype usually brake connection in several seconds after start (and it is w/o video!). Rooms are small and old, there are no english speaking TV (except of MTV). Also there is very cold in mornings. Rooms are seviced twice a week...

We stay at the Acapulco hotel. We have been here for a month now and will be here till Jan-end. we have a family room with a spacious kitchen and a big room. We have a 18 month old son, so the space inside the room matters a lot. And it is big. Our room overlooks the park in front...

Being my first time out of Africa and in Europe, the Acapulco Hotel gave me the warmest feeling of home.It was small enough not to intimidate a Kenyan teacher not used to big hotels. At the Acapulco, they give you your space, the workers are mysterious, I never saw anyone bringing into my kitchen the box full of supplies _yet it was always there....

With Stockholm hotels being rather expensive, this is a great low budget stay. Nothing too fancy or luxury, but nice & clean, with friendly staff. In Södermalm, not far from trendy Sofo. The hotel is located on a lovely and quiet square, which is a great plus. I loved Stockholm so much that I went back the year after, but...

I stayed during the first and the second week of June for my spontaneous trip to Stockholm from Tokyo. I happened to have found this hotel from the Swedish tourism bureau website and I am very pleased that I chose to stay in this hotel! Acapulco Hotell is an apartment hotel located in Södermalm section of Stockholm. It is close...

This is a great spot if you like to be away from the tourist spots but still within walking distance to the subwaý and tons of great restaurants and pubs on Södermalm. The hotel is located on a quiet square a few minutes' walk from Skanstull subway station. Our apartment slept 5 and once all the beds were up the...

This is what you would wish every budget hotel to be like. Clean, comfortable, friendly and beautifully located. The rooms are apartment style, leaving you free to cook simply for yourself, or order one of the hotel's fantastic breakfast boxes every morning. Staff were very helpful, with lots of tourist information around; at no point were we made to feel...

We stayed in this apartment hotel for 4 nights in June 2006. It was great. The kitchenette was well-supplied with coffeepot, microwave, fridge, cooktop, pots, knives, etc. We cooked dinner here each night, and the supermarket is about a block away. There was a cute table for 2 in the room, as well. There was a bit of noise from...

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
