This is a really nice hotel just a 10 minutes walk from the central station and Arlanda express. Very friendly staff at the reception and the lobby bar. Rooms well the suits at level 7 are modern and really nice. If you take the terass suit you will have a great experience. I really recommends Amaranten

When first getting into the room, the decoration is nice and modern and based on white and black (we were in room 529 if I remember correctly). There was an armchair and twin beds. The mattresses were very comfortable and of good quality. A small bathtube was there too. There was a large TV and free wifi internet. The hotel...

Stockholm is an incredibly charming city. And staying at Hotel Amaranten made it unforgettable for us. Lovely rooms and the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen. Conviniently located close to all major attractions. We traveled with our 2 years old girl and she was totally crazy about Junibacken, a children amusement park. And Wasa museum is a total must!

This is a comfortable enough hotel for a one night stay. Room size was decent and while it had no airconditioning and the air did not seem to flow into the room despite the open window, the hotel did provide a table fan. There were new fluffy towels so were we relieved since one of the earlier reviewers mentioned the...

Stayed at this hotel two nights for business, a colleague stays often and felt it was a good value. All things considered, I have to agree as the hotel was less than SEK 800 per room, per night all in. Location is excellent, next door to T-bana station Radhuset, across the street from a large city supermarket, and within 2...

I have stayed here several times over the last 10 years and always enjoy my stay. Better than Scandic hotels anytime, but the sauna needs refurbishing and the superior rooms are somewhat average. Staff are lovely and very helpful.

All in all the feeling the hotel provides is that of an old, faded glory. The rooms are nice, but the design and the fitting are kind of stale, now... It is not vintage, just plainly old. And the furnitures and infrastrucutres have more than a mark from the passing time. It is not bad, as the service is fine,...

When we walked into the nice large lobby, we were expecting a nice room, too. The room was small and very plain. The biggest surprise was the bathroom. The bathtub/shower was more like a metal drum cut in half with legs attached. It was very hard to step up to get into it. It was not very sturdy and made...

The hotel's location is almost next to the central station (train&bus) and also very next to a subway-station, so perfect for tourists, but also business travellers using public transport. Hotel is a typical 80ies place with "hundreds" of rooms, which are small but do offer all - including iron, ironing-board, van........ rooms would need some refurbishment..... painting etc. Hotel staff...

Staying in Kungsholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Kungsholmen
Kungsholmen is one of the largest islands in central Stockholm and one of the most popular places to live. Its most famous attraction is Stockholm’s City Hall, which stands out with its monumental architecture and is one of the most photographed buildings in Sweden. Kungsholmen has its own little city center and shopping mall, its own beach and a lovely pedestrian area next to the water, which charms both locals and visitors with beautiful little cafés, restaurants and of course an awesome view. This neighborhood is perfect for a relaxed stroll followed by some coffee on a Sunday afternoon.
