This is not a real hotel, there is no reception and the room was not as advertised. I almost couldn't get in thanks to no reception, noone on premises and the only contact option a button that dials a phone that just gives an automated message over and over. This is not a one off thing, there is literally no...

We chose Hotel Soder for its location, in the trendy area of Stockholm. The room was not especially large, but it was clean and the beds comfortable with a decent ensuite. Basic toiletries were provided. I would make some small observations: a tatty light fitting in the bathroom and a scruffy bedside table that let the overall look down. There...

I needed lodgings somewhere near the harbour, in order to get the boat to Åland early in the morning. This meant I had to check out before breakfast, on which I therefore cannot comment. The room was quite cramped and largely below ground level, but contained all mod cons. The bathroom was clean, but the shower did not entirely shut,...

We had a great hotel in de middle of Soderalm. The rooms are not big, but good. The neigberhood is great. The breakfast is fine and more than enough. The lady's at the reception are very friendly and helpfull. I would say a very good place for a nice payable stay in het middle of stockhom, near all kinds off...

Booked last minute due to availability. The prices were double because of a conference in Stockholm....but the hotel did not disclose this on their website. The room was very small and difficult to move around in with any luggage. There was nowhere to put clothing and plug sockets were not near the bed.....no use for the modern phone/alarm user. Bathroom...

The hotel is a great budget option if you are visiting the city. The location is fantastic. Soldermalm is a great area to stay in, with great transport links and plenty to see and do in the local area. There is a Metro station one block away from the hotel. Although if you like to explore on foot then the...

I stayed only one night on this hotel. The room was tiny and located kind of basement (the windows ware high up). Not sure would I say this is hotel but decent accommodation still. Breakfast was good and no major complaints otherwise. Would not stay for longer periods but for a short term decent option with OK location.

Our stay started out a little rocky. We arrived to the hotel after the front desk had closed (around 5pm), using the call box out front we eventually got buzzed in. We stood around expecting someone to come out to meet us to tell us which rooms we were in, but it turned out that they had texted us the...

One night on a concert trip. Large bathroom, fresh and shiny. Toiletries were ok. Room clean. Window partly under ground level, towards quiet yard. Super quiet, great bed, got breakfast to go because we had to leave very early. One person seemed to do pretty much everything, but she was very much up to the task, email communication worked well...

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
