My daughter of 22 and I stayed here in August 2011. Everything we thought it would be. The location as the only building on a small island in the middle of a river in the heart of a huge city is amazing, be prepared for disbelieving taxi drivers from the train station. Not hard to find with the address, just... More

After traveling all through Scandinavia with our baby and toddler and having very little sleep due to the midnight sun and a lack of black out curtains, I was so relieved to arrive at Arsta Holmar Guesthouse! It is quiet and tranquil on it's own private island in the middle of Stockholm. They have black out shades that kept the... More

“Rooms are all different. We had a small room with two singles, one window and an armoire, beds they arranged for us upstairs when we arrived. There were at least two families with kids there, perhaps some in cabins in the rear. The upstairs is served by the second tiniest stair in Scandinavia, so stay downstairs if you have any mobility issues. This is a very casual place, a farmhouse really, coming and going in the back entrance. You must have the innkeepers cell phone upon reserving, to use when you arrive. There is a gate far out on the street which is locked at night, to which you get a key. Never noisy.”
