The whole place have a very special atmosphere. You can see old guns on the walls, it is filled with trophies from the hunting. You have a room that is a little "old English style" but with a great view over the gardens and flowers outside (well depend on when you go).

Driving from Oslo to Copenhagen, we decided to make a stop-over in Sweden before crossing the Oresund, We immediately liked the atmosphere of this venue. Nice garden, inviting reception area and very nice, spacious and well appointed room . The only thing we missed was a path for pulling suitcases over the cobblestoned yard. Dinner was excellent. The breakfast buffet... More

Looks deceptively small but in reality, it's much larger. The atmosphere is very inviting and relaxing. The food is good (very good introduction to Swedish cuisine - surprise: they have more than just meatballs...) The rooms are very comfy and roomy. And, of course, the whole place is wonderfully clean.

We had a summer buffet here which was very good but unfortunately some dishes was not replaced fast enough so there was some waiting. Very nice building and surroundings. Mainly for people who are celebrating something.

about 2 km off E6, 2-story buildings around two courtyards. The rooms are quite large, clean and inviting. no roads directly in the vicinity, so little or no noise from traffic. We had an excellent dinner - be aware of that the portions are fairly large..), and the breakfast (included) was of good Swedish standard. No destination charging offered, hopefully... More

We passed by and as we have some years ago stayed at the hotel and at that time had a fantastic Buffé we wanted to try it again. We were not disappointed. A good variety of herring and much more to start with, good main courses and a very good mixed berry pie with sweet strawberries , ice cream etc.... More

We stayed here for 1 night in July during the Swedish Open, as there was not much available it was a last minute booking. The hotel is extremely old and very dated, and maybe that's what is its appeal, but not for us, from both reception, dining areas and rooms, it is extremely old and dated. I needed a iron,... More

We went to this place since our companions have visited this place earlier. A table was booked ahead, and we arrived just passed the appointed time of arrival. From the menu we ordered entrecote and meat balls. We were offered fresh homebaked bread with lovely butter, and cold fresh water. We chose a Valpolicella red wine to the main course.... More

Traditional local style large two floor hotel on the countryside. Surroundings are very nice with even a small river on the hotel grounds. Our doubleroom had not been re-decorated since the late 80´s. Good sleepingquality inspite the fact that swedish hotelrooms seldom have air-condition. Breakfast was very good and fresh.

It's a lovely hotel and restaurant in a lovely setting, living up to claimed high standards. After many visits we never found any reason to regret a stay. Just lovely! Oh yes - one thing: the reataurant is closed on Sundays. That's a pity!
