Stayed in a 17th century cottage with an attic room which is beautifully restored. Every room is decorated with owner's carefully selected antique curios, paintings to give it a very homely feel. You will feel relax and enact the childhood dream in such a cottage. I almost expect to find goldilocks and the 3 bears living in one of the...

Our first summer visit. The ambience was beautiful, restful n peaceful. We were awed by the1700 house we lived in. The place was pictureresque with the small details n homely. Beautiful summer flowers n delicious swedish meal.

Eksgarden is just what you need when you are in Öland - an idyllic set of little huts and a garden where you can have dinner. The room was not special (Kvinneby) with quite an outdated bathroom, but worked well for our short weekend trip. The atmosphere and location were great, and also the dinner we had at the restaurant....

My husband, our son and I stayed at this hotel one Saturday night. We arrived late but no problem checking in. The definite positive of this hotel is breakfast and beautiful garden. The breakfast had variety of things: different kinds of bread, yogurt, hard boiled egg, pickled herring, ham, cheese, tomato, cucumber, salamis, and melon. Also different kind of jams,...

We stayed at Eksgården in early June 2013 and we very impressed by our accommodations. Owners were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. There is a lovely courtyard to sit in or have breakfast outside. We ate dinner at the restaurant and not even Gordon Ramsey could find fault at anything that was served! Everything...

Just top notch. Food, hospitality and the kind and welcoming owners. A perfect spot to stay when exploring the island. Short drives to great golf. It is perfectly appropriate to quote Mr Arnold S: "I'll be back!"

This hotel is owned by two very friendly and nice guys. The are making fantastic lunches and dinners. If you are visiting on Öland you have to stop by and at least stay for lunch. Rooms are good and reasonably priced as well.

We come from Dusseldorf and this is a fantastic plce for a 3-4 day stay. Great food and the owners are top class. We will be back 2013 as they will serve mojitos on request! You can combine this with Borgholm and the glass factories on mainland.
