We spent a few nights here and would recommend it as a good base to explore kiruna.
Pls note it is a lodge, so you are “on your own” in the evenings after dinner when the staff go home. We quite enjoyed that as it...More
Just the right mix of experiences and relaxation time. The lodge is so homely as there are only 7 rooms - the communal area with it’s roaring fire, never ending supply of tea and coffee and comfy chairs creates a friendly atmosphere - we made...More
Just returned from the best time ever. Everything was prearranged by booking with weekend a la carte so didn't have to worry about anything. Food was lovely, little worried about eating reindeer and moose but was just like beef. Breakfasts were help yourself with a...More

Hi... we took our thermal layers (top/ bottom/socks), t-shirts, jumpers, thick winter type jackets, silk under gloves, gloves, silk balaclavas, sun glasses, ski goggles (limited use as weather was kind). thickish trousers (jeans) scarves.
good waterproof walking boots/shoes. swimming costumes (for hot tub and sauna). you'll where lighter clothes for indoors in the evening.
you need your own best cold weather clothes as you will go outside when travelling there and back anyway and perhaps other times.
don't forget memory cards for their loan cameras and your own cameras of course.
their arctic gloves/hats were rather loose fitting and we were thankful of silk balaclava and gloves (although lashings of velcro on arctic gear did tend to stick itself to silk! so some care needed)
the list from Kevin was pretty good in guiding us we found, but hope this helps and hope you have as good a time as we did!
