We stopped for a bite to eat after visiting the thermal park. We were the only ones there so I was little concerned about how the food was. We both had the cheeseburger and it was surprisingly good. The burger had nice flavor. The chips were cooked well.

Stopped by in the middle of the day for a quick bite and the staff treated me as if I was the only one there. Had the cheese burger. Bun was nicely toasted, burger cooked well and cheese on both sides. Is it me or what? Beets do not belong on burgers. But most places in NZ seem to put...

We needed place to sleep it had a vacancy so we took a double room for 80 NZD. The bed was hard as hell. The warm water took 10 minutes. The mosquitoes in the area are ugly creatures. The common room was not the most modern. So much for the downers. It included breakfast with coffee and cereals. TV with...

This is more of a dorm style place. Now granted, they charged me $70NZD for a clean bed, that is about where it ended. It is attached to the bar, and if you arrive after, say 5p, you have to register with the bartender. Seems like he wouldn't be busy, but if he was, you would have a hard time...

We had not booked and needed a room for the night on the way north with the kids. This hotel has had a major paint job recently and staff were friendly.
