Copenhagen Island, a modern and stylish hotel with 326 rooms, is located in the pulsating neighbourhood Vesterbro. It lies right on the waterfront, offering excellent views of either Copenhagen’s harbour or across the city’s roofs and towers. The entire area around the hotel is buzzing with life and especially Islands Brygge and Kødbyen are well worth a visit when you’re staying in Copenhagen.

This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.

Nice view, good breakfast, comfortable beds. Did I mention the view? It was absolutely breathtaking. The room was clean and big plus for offering hand cream as part of standard toiletries. Helpful in the cold Scandinavian winter climate.

This was my first visit to Copenhagen and hopefully not my last! I did a bit of research on hotels before I came and decided on staying at the CI even though it's slightly out of the main part of the city, but the decision was made because it was based on the water and just

Lovely hotel. Staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. Any questions we had they answered. Room was lovely - we overlooked the harbour part. We were lucky enough to get upgraded. Breakfast was excellent. Lovely 10/15 minute walk to the central station. Highly recommend.

I am one of the most read reviewers in Copenhagen area, and as you will be able to read, i have a lot of good things to say. As a professional who value great service i seldom witness places where the customer and the service is not number 1 on the list for the hotel staff etc.

Dear Caspar, Thank you for your feedback. All commercial activity must be approved by our Chief Commercial Officer several weeks in advance. We did not receive any information from you, when you made the reservation the day before, that you wanted to film a commercial music video at our property, which is why you were not permitted to film at the hotel on that day. Lovely hotel, rooms clean and modern. Staff super friendly as we found everyone to be in Copenhagen. Breakfast buffet also very good. The only criticism I have is the bathroom, there’s a window in it and you can see the reflection of everything when in the bathroom into the main

Dear guest We will always recommend a taxa especially if you bring a lot of suitcases. A taxa is approx. 250-300 DKK. Otherwise you can go by s-train to Nørreport Station and from there catch bus no. 25 to Ocean Kaj at Nordhavn. Anne Louise Poulsen, General Manager
