This was by far my best hotel stay in the 8 trips I have taken to Europe from America. First of all the owner and his staff were very friendly, professional, informative, and responsive at all times. In person, at the bar, in the room, before I headed out for the day, and before I arrived, I was given everything...

A really pleasant stay at the Bertrams Guldsmeden. The hotel owner, who was at the front desk a lot of the time, was exceedingly friendly and happy to offer suggestions of things to do / navigation around Copenhagen. His team was also always smiling and more than happy to help (and of course offer complimentary organic fruit!). The lounge /...

I booked this place as i had a conference to go to in Carlsberg, about a 20 min walk. The couple who run it are friendly and the whole place is warm and hospitable. English is spoken also. The room we had is at the back so is presumably a bit quieter than the front which overlooks the main road....

We really enjoyed our stay at Bertrams Guldsmeden. Check in was swift, and the concierge was really helpful and friendly. The room on the 4th floor was beautifully decorated and cosy, with lovely bed-linens. Our room faced the street but I have to say that we did not find noise to be a problem. The bathroom was small but perfectly...

We loved our stay at the Bertrams! The hotel is centrally located in Vesterbro (the 6A bus stop is right outside the hotel) and is convenient in terms of getting around town - walkable to the old city and to great bars/restaurants. Very helpful staff (Thanks Adam and Nick for giving us the insider scoop)! We'd definitely stay here again...

I read a lot of good reviews so I must say I was a bit disappointed. On the positives, the staff is nice and the bed was very comfortable. It is. It is not a big business hotel, but rather feels like a regular habitation building (with a nice living). On the negatives, the room felt very small maybe because...

This is a beautiful property -- not fancy or glamorous -- just really nice, and tastefully and thoughtfully done. We spent five nights here and loved it. High quality linens, super comfortable bed and pillows, sweet sitting area and balcony over the courtyard, a spacious tub, and lovely common areas. As others have commented, breakfast is fantastic and worth the...

Four-poster bed, spacious and quiet room, bathroom with deep bath, lots of towels, lovely toiletries - I was sad to only spend one night here and not even have time for breakfast. Will definitely be back for that :)

I stayed in this hotel on business for a week. Fourposter best was at first a bit surprising for a single visitor, but the room turned out to be comfortable for a stay of long duration. What surprised me mos was the breakfast. There are no fancy stuff: bread, egg, ham, cereal, freshly squeezed fruits juices, yogurt etc., but all...

Cozy hotel and peaceful oasis. Wonderful common areas including cool lounge and quaint outdoor patio. Outstanding breakfast available for modest extra charge and worth every Kroner. Excellent selection of freshly baked breads, local jams, and fresh fruits. Rooms small but very clean and nicely appointed with high quality bath and bed linens. Very friendly and helpful staff too. Delightful stay.

Neighbourhood Profile
Outer Vesterbro
Home to a large shopping center and cinema complex named Fisketorvet (Fish Square), this area includes numerous shops, several restaurant as well a state of the art IMAX theatre. This shopping center is situated at the harbor front, and as Copenhagen is one of the cycling capitals of the world, also sports two of the most interesting bridges in the city: one for cyclists only called Cykelslangen (“Cycle Snake”) which weaves through the modern buildings around Fisketorvet. The other, Bryggebroen, which is both for pedestrians and cyclists, takes you across the harbor to Islands Brygge.
